Katya must have nerves of steel, to keep facing down the judges with a smile - while they ignore her as if she is invisible.I think Katya is having a tricky time supporting Nigel when she just wants to let loose and have fun. It probably is a bit frustrating when you know your partner is really, really good and you want to chuck everything at the choreo but then it goes a bit wrong. It isn't Nigel's fault and it isn't her fault, but I think living in the shadow of the ever present judges crying "mistake!" has dulled their shine.
Lead me to the carnage! Which thread??God, DS is an absolute binfire. Just joyless sniping all over the place: angry Nigel fans berating people, anti-Layton rants,Gio fanspeople who hate Vito slagging off Ellie...
I know we're supposed to be the mean place, but I think there's much more tolerance here (apart from when some very sick people say they fancy Neil). And maybe ultimately we understand it's a reality TV dance contest, not the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix (niche reference).
To be fair to Craig he is the only one of the judges who has taken time to learn about the AT and his comments about it are usually the most correct … although to be fair to Angela, she did seem to be one of the few celebs who ‘got’ the caressing the floor aspect of it.Ohh, Carlos just made me cry Angelas dance was wonderful. Craig was a proper Debbie downer last night wasn't he!
Any with Layton or Nigel in the thread title are good for a bun fight.Lead me to the carnage! Which thread??
I actually wondered if Anton was feeling unwell last night, apart from not completing sentences he was mispronouncing words, said in genuine concern I was a bit worried about him last night.Katya must have nerves of steel, to keep facing down the judges with a smile - while they ignore her as if she is invisible.
I'm thinking back to last year too. All the hard work she put in with Tony and the judges scoffed and laughed no matter what. The night he left, Craig told him he was what Strictly was all about, and Tony said something along the lines of I wish you had said something like that before now.
I think the judges need to be more balanced in their feedback. If they are going to ignore mistakes from some celebrities, and hone in on others, that's simply unfair.
And I know I said it after last week, but surely Anton is paid more than enough to form complete sentences. He was worse, if anything, last night. The 'woohoo and wey hey and ooh 'allo' is not feedback. Imagine the ones who get through replaying the feedback in the following week to see what they could learn from it?

Never considered that, is that why he keeps scoring 8s and 9s when the dances only merit 6sI'm sure it was just a few too many glasses of fizz before the show.
He was dreadful last night. You can see how nervous he is. Can’t string a sentence together. His attempts at humour off camera are toe curling. How he won judge of the year is baffling.Katya must have nerves of steel, to keep facing down the judges with a smile - while they ignore her as if she is invisible.

I happened to watch an episode of Classic EE recently and there he was, smouldering at Sharon . Oh and I was randomly half watching The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side (Agatha Christie) recently and I recognised his voice before I actually looked at him properly.Catching up on yesterdays show and sad for Nigel, but him frustrated and annoyed reminded me of why I fancied him so much in Eastenders why did that make him so hot?
So can you spill on what was up with Gio? How close were the audience to the Clauditorium? He was dreadful last night. You can see how nervous he is. Can’t string a sentence together. His attempts at humour off camera are toe curling. How he won judge of the year is baffling.
I wondered last night if he was off his face or having some kind of medical issue. I can just see the daily fail headlines now ‘Antons hell in rehab’.I actually wondered if Anton was feeling unwell last night, apart from not completing sentences he was mispronouncing words, said in genuine concern I was a bit worried about him last night.

Honestly he was just coming out with the most inane gobbledygook!!I actually shouted at the telly for Anton to shut the duck up last night. And I'm not one to speak to an inanimate object (the TV, not Anton...though maybe he'd be less torturous if he were a little less animated...)
I don’t think the stylists are a fan of needy Neil either.I think even the people who are willing to publicly admit to fancying Neil know that that viewpoint is one that deserves the intolerance it gets.
He just seems so desperate for camera time... I really wish he would calm downI don’t think the stylists are a fan of needy Neil either.
