If someone good goes over a Annabelle I'll be fuming all over againWell I thought he looked a bit like he stomped offNot in a pissed off way, just a he was really annoyed at himself and couldn’t be bothered to stay & put on a pretence. Everyone else stays & hugs their partners, he clearly wasn’t feeling it. Bless him. Tough night for him. I didn’t love his dance, I’m not one for spotting mistakes really unless it’s super obvious but I never felt like he was in control of the dance somehow. But I actually think this week will serve him well. He’s got the sympathy vote. The judges will be super kind next week after the backlash of how they’ve been this week. Seen it all before
I’m pondering now though how the public are voting. I really thought we’d see Annabel in the bottom two soon but I’ve seen SO much support for her ‘beautiful soul’ online this week. I’m wondering if she’ll keep avoiding the DO

Just a random thing but you could definitely tell that Kelvin Fletcher isn't a practiced TV presenter from his delivery of the T&Cs. He didn't totally cock it up or anything but he stumbled a bit and was clearly rushing it.
I wonder if he knew he was going to do it or he just came from the show and the producers asked him to do the T&Cs and he was just like "Er, okay!"

I actually could see that happening.
(I haven't read the spoilers so no idea what happens on 'Sunday').
He seemed so genuinely despondent.
Producers must dread something like that after Amanda this year.
I find myself wondering about the partnership though, Katya has waited a long time for a contender but she doesn’t seem her usual feisty self lately, I just wonder if she knows Nigel just doesn’t have it in him .. just thinking out loud, I’ll repair to a quiet place where I will scold myself for posting the unthinkable

I think Katya is having a tricky time supporting Nigel when she just wants to let loose and have fun. It probably is a bit frustrating when you know your partner is really, really good and you want to chuck everything at the choreo but then it goes a bit wrong. It isn't Nigel's fault and it isn't her fault, but I think living in the shadow of the ever present judges crying "mistake!" has dulled their shine.
Yea I agree with that, I’m defo noticing as the weeks go by Katya seems more subdued and less excited compared to week 1

It is with the judges, not with Nigel.
She can see the less than perfect performances of the other couples and getting encoraging critique, not that she would want to detract from their dances. In comparison she has had a really hard time standing in front of those four, seeing her partner being constantly berated, also as it has been noted she stands there as if invisible to the judges.
It is similar to when Strictly started 20 years ago, the pros were there to train and be present but not really heard, times have changed in that respect

Loads of former contestants, pros, presenters, etc. are at Blackpool every year. It’s a big, fun night with a legendary party and with more audience capacity than the studio. Why miss out on it if you’ve got the opportunity to be there?

God, DS is an absolute binfire. Just joyless sniping all over the place: angry Nigel fans berating people, anti-Layton rants, Gio fans people who hate Vito slagging off Ellie...
I know we're supposed to be the mean place, but I think there's much more tolerance here (apart from when some very sick people say they fancy Neil). And maybe ultimately we understand it's a reality TV dance contest, not the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix (niche reference).
