Well yeah, he ‘just walks off’ and Katya follows, rather than him ‘storming off’ and Katya ‘chasing after him’.

I was expecting a ‘Brendan Cole special’, based on the hysteria. Not only is the quality of costuming disappointing these days, you don’t even get proper door-slamming strops any more. 🙄
They literally walk off together. Was expecting a full on strop

I don’t often bother with the results show these days but
I am praying Booby gives us a face to rival Vom Fletcher when it’s announced he’s in the dance off
I'm here for it, but I think he will just smile through, as though he doesn't know what's going on. He seems a bit tuned out at times, let's say. Someone posted last night that Dianne was upset, but I guess her emotions are probably high at the moment anyway because of her dad. I hope Kai goes running through the door shouting FREEDOM FREEDOM. I know that in reality he will have to say it's been a privilege and so on. But one can dream.

Just reviewing last night's dances, mainly for the mistakes that the judges fail to comment on.

First dance Bobby and Dianne. I notice Dianne tries to keep at least a metre apart for most of the jive. 😆

One very noticeable error was near the end the side by side where Dianne kicks with her right foot and Blobby kicks with his left, then on the next step they almost kick each other being on the wrong foot.

Judges critique never mentioned any errors but gave him ultimate praise. Wondered what Craig deducted 2 marks for given his comments. 🤷‍♀️ As for the 9's. 🥴

Exactly, he just looks deflated and walks off. No storming as far as I could see 🤷🏼‍♀️

He probably just went to hug his wife. I think he took it hard last night and was disappointed in himself and for letting Katya down when it’s such a big deal to the pros. Like Nikita was disheartened he didn't get Layton the full marks and better comments from Craig. So couldn't shrug it off as easily. He's quite dry and not really playing along with the Strictly OTT. It's not like he went full on Mellor I've let the kids down, all "Daddy's fine".

I do wonder if he's regretting signing up though. And I don't think Katya is fully on form this year. There's not been a real WOW stand out move that she’s so well known for.

I noticed that. They weren't always in sync either and his kicks weren't very tight. The backing dancers disguised a multitude of mediocrity. I'd also say that obvious error was worse than any mistake Nigel made.

I guess the judges are still trying to make Bobby happen.
Luckily it didn’t work!

I think some element might be him seeing it from the POV of a professional performer - he was given the job of closing Blackpool with a showstopper, and he knew he didn't do that job properly, and seemed quite disappointed in himself. That's the vibe I got from his post-dance interview on insta anyway

He has said that his family love the show and his daughter wanted him to take part. I never thought he would sign up, iirc back in the day, well after his Eastenders exit, he was asked about it and it was always a definite 'no chance'. He has chilled a bit since then and that father/daughter thing, well he would do anything for her.

Love the way that he waves, gives a thumbs up or blows a kiss to his wife Lucy and friends after the dance, as he did last night. He is a lovely man, wears his heart on his sleeve perhaps a bit too much, but that is how he is. 🤗

He just needs that affirmation from the judges to make this experience one that he won't regret, but make him stronger, atm though they are just pulling him apart. It's an entertainment show, it should not be like this.

Vito kissed Ellie 8 times during judges comments and the clauditorium. But you could say more than that as some of them were multiple pecks at once. I can spot Nigel's footwork mistake after they went back into hold for the final time and moved down the dancfloor. What else was there?

It was after the last side by side when they headed to the corner.

When you have to slow things down and get a magnifying glass out to see it not sure it was the grave error the judges made out. Hey ho!

I just rewatched it and when it's finished he looks really excited and bouncing around. I think there was a tiny tiny mistep or stumble in one corner towards the end and there was the putting his hands on her shoulders which looked like a lapse and did mess up the look of the ending. But really nothing that warranted that much criticism, low scores, especially when more obvious mistakes and poor technique by others gets completely ignored.

To me though, even on first watch it was bumpy so I kinda thought things were off below the waterline even if I couldn’t see specifically and at a couple of points Katya appears to be doing the patented Lady Pro grab and haul.

I must be in a minority because I didn’t think the comments were too terrible. They all said he was a good dancer but that he had mistakes that he recovered from. I think Nigel is his own worst enemy, to be honest.

Well I thought he looked a bit like he stomped off 😂 Not in a pissed off way, just a he was really annoyed at himself and couldn’t be bothered to stay & put on a pretence. Everyone else stays & hugs their partners, he clearly wasn’t feeling it. Bless him. Tough night for him. I didn’t love his dance, I’m not one for spotting mistakes really unless it’s super obvious but I never felt like he was in control of the dance somehow. But I actually think this week will serve him well. He’s got the sympathy vote. The judges will be super kind next week after the backlash of how they’ve been this week. Seen it all before 😅

I’m pondering now though how the public are voting. I really thought we’d see Annabel in the bottom two soon but I’ve seen SO much support for her ‘beautiful soul’ online this week. I’m wondering if she’ll keep avoiding the DO 🧐

I did feel sorry for Nigel but I do think he is his own worst enemy. He definitely needs to get meditating more so that he can not let any criticism get to him and he can focus more on getting his dances right. Considering the career he has chosen and worked in for a long time I’m surprised he isn’t more resilient. He hasn’t met the potential he showed on the first show and now unless he pulls out a show stopping performance I’m not sure he has earned his place in the final. I think he will get there and there is a good chance he will win but I’d prefer someone who is consistent or has shown improvement neither of which he has.

I think the door to the changing rooms.is to the side of where Nigel.was. so he's probably just the nearest and first to get off the dance floor. He's only human and if he wants to go and get out of the glare of the audience to collect himself together that's his perogative. 🤷‍♀️ I just think it must be such a pressured environment in a live broadcast that has been bigged up as BLACKPOOL and he's fell short of doing a perfect dance when he probably has nailed it in rehearsals.

He was definitely sloppy and a bit behind at times
Looking at Diane for what was coming next.
Nigels dance took the roof off in the night. They covered every inch of that floor and flew round. Not surprised he looked so down after a kicking from the judges
