Oof, saw a clip on twitter of someone filming in the audience as they were doing their keep dancing bit at the end. As soon as they are told the cameras are off, Nigel storms off and poor Katya has to go chase after him oh Nigel!

There seems to be this weird narrative that the judges are always wrong and should be booed for giving anything less than an 8 but also if you're in any way disappointed with your scores - or yourself for not doing what you feel was your best - you're an arrogant bastard and how dare you have such an attitude.

I've often seen celebs who've clearly felt a bit down they didn't do very well but from disappointment not ego yet you see viewers calling them entitled or arrogant or whatever.

i don’t blame him tbh - but you do sometimes have to try and put a game face on a little bit. though that being said i guess he did for the cameras.

i know we’re all saying the jojo is on his way to erin island but i feel katya probably is too! i like nigel, but she really has had to continually bolster his confidence week after week only for it just never really go Right on the weekend.

Well yeah, he ‘just walks off’ and Katya follows, rather than him ‘storming off’ and Katya ‘chasing after him’.

I was expecting a ‘Brendan Cole special’, based on the hysteria. Not only is the quality of costuming disappointing these days, you don’t even get proper door-slamming strops any more.

no, i’m with you! someone last night referred to the style as a trainers and ponytail charleston - and it’s just not my taste. she danced it really well but i love a more 1920s jazzy charleston, which i think she could have done. they maybe didn’t because they styling would have looked so similar to nigel’s big band stuff though i guess.

I think because Angela and Nigel both had 20s style dances they couldn't have another... plus Ellie had the 20s style a couple of weeks ago with her AS. But I agree: Just ban Matt Flint and his Lindy Hop fixation!

I like Nigel as a person, but I'm sorry, you're a professional performer. His post-show bit on insta with Katya made me cringe a bit too - she's like a mum with a kid who messed up the school panto. This is just ridiculous: I get he's very deflated but can't he hold it together better?

Hmm, well that's not as dramatic as it seemed from the initial description, more like as soon as they said cut one of them said "C'mon let's go".

Katya didn't look particularly surprised and immediately followed after him rather than chasing him.

That's the end of the live show so presumably they just went somewhere to decompress before the results filming kicked off.

i like him a lot (and still do) but sometimes you just have to take the L! i get the disappointment, especially if you’re the type of person (as he seems to be) who is anxious and dwells on things but issues happen. i know he’s talked about it a lot, but having that trait must make being a theatre actor so tough. he’s so down on himself all the time.

bless katya though, she has such lovely energy.

yeah - i think it only looks weird or worthy of comment because he seems to move so quickly in comparison to everyone else (including katya) but, like you say, they probably move them into another area and he was likely Very Eager to get there at that point

i wrote poor katya after watching it once but i see now that was very dramatic! she just sorta shrugs and follows him.

Don't think he storms off, the show had ended and they had to do their 'going through the door bit', presume the producers want an instant reaction so the last couple always have to do that after the 'keeeeep dancing' bit and when the credits have rolled.
