Shirley was in bully mode, probably the circulation cut off from the evil queen balaclava. And I hate presenters wearing short dresses and skirts and watching them sitting trying not to have everything on display, just wear a longer skirt for seated tv jobs!

I was bored of the Wednesday dance and Rick Astley yawn for Halloween.

Exactly what I called her up thread, a bully. I hadn't thought of her circulation being cut off though 😁 She reminds me of a nun who taught me, in school. She would pick at someone relentlessly until they were upset and you could nearly see the glee on her face then.

Shirley is paid an eye-watering amount of money for that job, and is long enough around the whole dance world - she should be able to do better than that, by now. She seems determined to wear Nigel down rather than actually give constructive feedback to him. She was like that towards Fleur last year, she used to scold her (horrible word in this context) but that was what it seemed like, to me. 'We're in week two now' as though it was week ten. She changed her tune though towards Fleur as time went on.

I'm glad to say I don't notice anything about Bobby, I realised as I was reading the thread, it's because I take my break while they are on. 😁

I think he'd have been good with Nancy. Nancy is a great choreographer, fun and appears to be a brilliant teacher. I reckon he'd have responded to her strict but zany style well and learnt some proper technique. They would also not be hampered with so much height difference or the constant need to stress "WE'RE LIKE SIBLINGS".

Dianne should have had Les, really. Or she could have been challenged by being paired with Jody - almost all the other pros have had a partner with a disability or a same sex partnership, some both and it makes you wonder why she has never been allocated something that would take more skill.

I disagree I think she taught Joe all the basics really well. Most of his dances had all the basis requirements. No real showstoppers apart from his quickstep in Blackpool. I think she’s to focused on winning and gets carried away with trying to do clever choreography. Bobby is okay but he has no core strength and no real control over his upper body. Also he’s young so probably thinks he’s popular so all will be okay. I’m not doubting he’s working hard but he has a long way to go.
 
I'm fully backing a Layton, Bobby and Angela R final to ensure every cross section of the Strictly audience is absolutely feckin' fuming 😂

The outfits were mostly quite horrendous too. Everyone other than Jowita, Luba and Graz looked like they'd been chucked into a lost and found bin and told they had 30 seconds to throw on whatever they could grab. Nikita and Vito still mostly managed to pull off their looks though.

I was a bit baffled by the lyrics change as well... I imagine anyone who would've been deeply offended by 'crucify' instead of 'criticise' has probably filed a complaint over Nikita's (sadly hideous, and too long, but somehow still sexy) skirt anyway, so I don't know why they bothered 😂

At least the guest singer dance was a bit better, but still nothing to write home about. Jowita's little horns were very cute. And Neil was also there. I was genuinely so shocked by Rick Astley having a new song. Like I don't know if I thought he was dead, but I definitely thought he was just not a thing anymore. 😂

I went to see Rick a few years ago, and he does a brilliant live show; He's also a really good drummer.
 
Just watching the results show (I already had the spoiler) and it looked to me like Layton really thought he would be in the dance off 😢He must have so much pressure on him! You are fabulous darling and as for Nikita I have no words. This kind of crush hasn't happened to me since Becks in the 90's!😍😂❤
