Yes the few clips we saw, and the description of it , plus the fact Beth was choreographing it. It really would have.

Let’s just agree men can wear whatever the hell they want. And that Nikita & Layton looked gorgeous as vampires.

AGHH Gio literally makes my skin crawl. That photo is just ‘look how I make all woman feel but I will treat you like tit & I’m very proud of it’ ..
 
Quick recall:
Layton - need to watch again as I didn't think it was good as it could be- I was distracted by the horrendous song execution. Also distracted by Nikita's power - think it outshone Layton.
Ellie - didn't enjoy as much, it was fast and tricksy but didn't flow. Also in latin she does the mini bent arms thing like Fleur used to to - extend more!
Nigel - apart from the mistakes I thought he danced brilliantly and the choreography was great (apart from Katya's spideresque giving birth drag back)
Krishnan - lacking
Annabelle- she can dance just needs to let go.
Angela R - I actually enjoyed the charleston performance, but not much variety in the choreography and I didn't like the bench swivel. Kai looked younger with the tache (and nice to see his fun side come out). Wardrobe and trousers..
Bobby - hated it, he was too bendy long. And as for the trousers, yuk - done for the audience..

Glad Zara is out, want to see Graz with a amazing and confident dancer, see what he's capable of apart from being a lovely pro.

Watching Motsi web changing from Web to umbrella to Web to oh leave it, the show is nearly ending.
Shirley was in bully mode, probably the circulation cut off from the evil queen balaclava. And I hate presenters wearing short dresses and skirts and watching them sitting trying not to have everything on display, just wear a longer skirt for seated tv jobs!

I was bored of the Wednesday dance and Rick Astley yawn for Halloween.
 
Talking of Annabelle earlier, I think she's one who's actually more popular than people give her credit for.

I'm thinking back to Ellie Taylor last year, who I liked, but who started and ended her run as a very average (if not below average on occasion) dancer, with no real improvement in-between. Could also be slightly forgettable and no real buzz good or bad on SM. Every week I thought she'd be a DO contender, but it was week 10 before it actually happened.

Annabelle is actually a better dancer, and I wouldn't be shocked if she avoids another DO next week.
 
Slightly weird but if you watch some of the dances back without sound, it really highlights the lack of Technique/poor choreo in some of the dances. Just rewatched Bobby and Diane and it seems like she taught him one particular step and it was repeated over and over and over. When he's not doing it he's really just walking about whilst she twiddles around.

It was such ropey, repetitive choreo with no apparent storytelling. Would it not have worked better with the song and theme if she was the witch?

She really overutilised his hips after the comments they got for the samba. He's got one dance left where he can do that - the salsa, and it's going to look exactly the same 😴 Interesting that Anton praised Nigel's correct hip rotation and not Bobby's though. Said it before but Bobby's hips actually make me feel a bit sick, it's half stripper and half earthworm wriggling in a crow's beak.
 
Thought the choreography in that pro dance was really tit. It was the worst Halloween number since... ever, I think.

The outfits were mostly quite horrendous too. Everyone other than Jowita, Luba and Graz looked like they'd been chucked into a lost and found bin and told they had 30 seconds to throw on whatever they could grab. Nikita and Vito still mostly managed to pull off their looks though.

I was a bit baffled by the lyrics change as well... I imagine anyone who would've been deeply offended by 'crucify' instead of 'criticise' has probably filed a complaint over Nikita's (sadly hideous, and too long, but somehow still sexy) skirt anyway, so I don't know why they bothered 😂

At least the guest singer dance was a bit better, but still nothing to write home about. Jowita's little horns were very cute. And Neil was also there. I was genuinely so shocked by Rick Astley having a new song. Like I don't know if I thought he was dead, but I definitely thought he was just not a thing anymore. 😂

I actually follow Rick on FB, so I knew he had a new album out. He’s definitely still a thing. The rickroll phase really relaunched him years ago. He’s a really entertaining chap. If you can find his Glasto appearance on iplayer I recommend it.

He was brilliant at Glasto and I loved his Smiths set with Blossoms. The concept was an absolute fever dream but he was great.

In one of the post-show voting polls that Juliet posted, she & Johannes were third after Nigel & Ellie, so a high audience vote could compensate for middling scores for a while yet.

His hips seem to move largely to one side and he's all loose on top with it.

This is what Bobby reminds me of. He's got quite long limbs but I feel like he's got no control over them and he ends up looking a bit gangly.
