I agree with others that the Len tribute will be at Blackpool, and will hopefully be a gorgeous, elegant ballroom number. I’m sure Anton will play a big part. There are plenty of previous pros who could come back, and I think it would be right for them to appear rather than more recent dancers who didn’t know Len. I’m sure Tess, Claudia and Craig will have some lovely memories to share, and maybe Bruno would say something too. I’m feeling emotional just thinking about it all.

Blimey, no one else is anywhere near the votes for Bobby’s samba. In fact he seems to be the most popular here overall.

i’m no fan of gio but it is worrying that anyone can say anything on t’internet and have it be dissected and discussed, if not believed. the only thing that IS odd is the lack of comments on his own post compared to amanda’s but i guess that speaks more volumes about his current popularity levels with the other pros in particular. or even then, it seems more natural to reach out to the celeb contestant who has withdrawn and not the pro who will continue on the show/job as standard.

This is what I also think about the lack of comments on Gios's post. It would be natural to reply on Amanda's because it was an experience for her, whereas its just Gios job

i agree with others that i think they’ll do a tribute at blackpool - and i would love for a few ex-pros to come back (rather than, no offence, having nikita/vito/lauren and others who wouldn’t have really been judged by him on the show). that routine will take some beating though :(

I agree. They’d need to bring back some ex-pros in order for a dance to be effective and emotive imo. I think it would be a bit strange to have the newer pros who never worked with Len on the show pay tribute to him.

Andrea is the one who usually does any Whitney Houston numbers. She gets it right more often than not.

Hayley is the one with the awful tone. Shrill and hurty ears type singing. Best use the mute button and sing the song ourselves when she's singing.
TBH I don't think they need her.
Andrea, Tommy and the rock voice guy Jesse ( and Jamie) can cover most styles.

agreed. her “all the man that i need” for molly and carlos’ rhumba is genuinely one of the best vocals they’ve had in the past few years. like you say, it’s the other female vocalist that they don’t need imo.

in terms of vampire, i feel the male rock vocalist they use could certainly pull it off. it’s the bridge of that song which is tricky so it depends on how they adapt the key 🤣

Agreed, her vocals for the other Whitney dance, Aj and Kai’s American smooth was sublime too.

I miss Lance though, he has such a smooth soul voice.
 
God the DS thread has now devolved into comparing criticism of Amanda to Nazi anti-semitism! Make them get a grip..

At least here we just speculate about her shagging him or whether his cologne knocked her out or whatever..

On a happier Italian masculinity note, Vito’s arms.

I can't quite decide whether he's in the same position as Saffron and Joe where their fanbases meant they dominated exactly like that on social media but it didn't translate into votes and a win or if Bobby's on the path straight to the glitter ball (because there's been a couple of moments recently where I've had flashbacks to the show guiding the way to an Ore victory).

It’s like the people saying ‘he was lovely when I met him, he can’t be mean’

Duck, it was most likely at a meet and greet. If they can’t be nice when they are being paid, it’s an opportunity to ask for your money back.

Yeah it's harder to say with Bobby because of his Eastenders background is probably more likely to translate to typical Strictly viewers and voters compared to Saffron and Joe that were purely social media.
