if strictly don’t do a Len tribute, it’s going to look really crappy - but also seem like an afterthought now DWTS have done one!

I’m sure Strictly have a tribute dance coming which would have been planned for months, so I doubt people will view it as an afterthought. I would imagine they will try and incorporate something into Blackpool week like others have said, we usually get one latin & one ballroom dance.

Yeah it's harder to say with Bobby because of his Eastenders background is probably more likely to translate to typical Strictly viewers and voters compared to Saffron and Joe that were purely social media.

Let’s not forget the amount of votes he’ll because of his dead mum. Who a worrying number of people seem to have forgotten was racist & a bully. Yes, it was very sad she died so young but still doesn’t make her a good person!

Duck, it was most likely at a meet and greet. If they can’t be nice when they are being paid, it’s an opportunity to ask for your money back.

IKR. If you paid £130 to get a pic with him at Buxton Theatre he's hardly likely to call you a prick is he? I don't like her or him, but the way that his fans went from vehemently defending her to attacking her has given me whiplash.

God the DS thread has now devolved into comparing criticism of Amanda to Nazi anti-semitism! Make them get a grip..

I’ve just had a peek over on DS. Unhinged! Either she quit because she’s arrogant and can’t take criticism and has set out to destroy poor innocent Gio or she needs to be defended by use of the same poem that was grossly misused by Lawrence Fox to defend Russel Brand. Certainly gives you an insight into a different world over there

agreed. her “all the man that i need” for molly and carlos’ rhumba is genuinely one of the best vocals they’ve had in the past few years. like you say, it’s the other female vocalist that they don’t need imo.

in terms of vampire, i feel the male rock vocalist they use could certainly pull it off. it’s the bridge of that song which is tricky so it depends on how they adapt the key

When they eased out Lance Ellington, Jamie Squire was brought in for the rock numbers but now they seem to have replaced Jamie with Jesse Smith.
I have noticed that since Jesse has been regular, the backing vocal harmonies have been sweeter.

I just mute Hayley now and I enjoy it a lot more.

The tribute to Len was so beautiful. They did a montage on Strictly and I thought it wasn’t enough so hopefully they will do something at Blackpool as has been said.

I do sincerely hope that Strictly has something planned because Len was a HUGE part of Strictly. And I do hope that they would go the route of bringing ex-pros in. This idea was floated about by the likes of Brendan ages ago so they have no real excuse.

Would be absolutely classless to not do one at all (very disappointed in them if they don't) and I don't want to see a number from pros who never worked under Len or likely even met him like Dianne, Johannes & Nancy. Use a few OGs, plus Kai, Lauren (they might have been judged by him as kids) and the remaining pros who were there pre 2017.

Regarding Giovanni - remember when Len was critiquing one of his dances a few years ago and absolutely went for him. Told him off for shaking his head at the judges comments and larking about too much etc.
Len was really peeved.

Gave me the impression he thought Gio was arrogant and he wanted to knock him down a peg or two.
Len's outburst was a bit shocking actually. Some say unprofessional, some say necessary because Gio needed telling.

Oh to be a fly on the wall behind the scenes at Strictly!

Lot of comments on Amanda’s insta about no mention of Gio and her not thanking him …

Had a quick glance at her partner’s insta he is odd I think …as an aside he said he proposed within 30 minutes of meeting her …

I think they did, you know. I'm pretty sure they did something dancewise after the tour, possibly charity related? Can't quite remember, and she definitely went and saw him in Big. Lots of pics of them all socialising and they appeared in touch on SM. But then, life moves on, I suppose.

I often got the impression she was more protective of him. I used to think she knew more about him than he was publicly open about.

Weird fact - Jay's dad used to read and occasionally post in his DS appreciation thread.

A lot of the pictures of them out on 'cosy dates' actually had her husband in them they just cut him off the end.

I remember that it was really uncomfortable it felt really OTT and a conversation for back stage not prime time tv with a new Pro who is still learning English! But Gio for all his faults did learn quickly to be super respectful in front of the judges, give them nothing to snap at leave the comments for the Claudatorium.

I guess, Kevin, Joanne, Ian, Pasha, Flavia are all knocking around and have done various ITT bits in the last while. Brendan and James Jordan perhaps not! Anton could also join in.

I'd love if Anton did a ballroom dance with Erin in honour of Len.

The DWTS tribute was gaw-juss...

I'd love to see Anton, Erin, Pasha, Kevin, Joanne, Aljaz, Janette, Flavia, Vincent, Ian and a few other ex-pros being involved in a big Len tribute at Blackpool if they're available. KFG posted a photo from the Strictly set a couple of weeks ago so it's possible something is being rehearsed bts.

I wonder if Gio will be haunting the Clauditorium in his double-breasted jacket & shades on Saturday? He might be banished to the pro naughty step until this hoo-hah with Amanda is swept further under the carpet. I almost begin to feel sorry for him... until I remember how he treated Richie last year.

I do like that DWTS went for original pros who were amazing ballroom dancers and could do it justice. With the greatest respect to someone like Janette, I think they should go in the same direction here.

Darren & Lilia could choreograph it? Since he does big pro routines on the Irish show and both have the expertise to pull it off.

Not ashamed to say that I sobbed throughout that Len tribute segment.

I agree that Blackpool seems like the most fitting point for a Len tribute, and I don't think it'll look like an afterthought as your average Saturday night viewer probably has next to no awareness of DWTS.

If there is any possibility of former, Len-era pros coming back for it, I'd like to see Anton & Erin, Ian & Camilla, Darren & Lilia, Vincent & Flavia and the Cutlers. I actually feel a bit 'goose-bumpy’ at the thought of them all doing a beautiful ballroom number at Blackpool in tribute to Len. Not sure it would actually be feasible, though. It might have to just happen in my head.

It feels 'right' that Brendan should be there too, but I'm not sure who he'd dance with ~ Karen Hardy & Natalie are both on the other side of the world, I think. I'd even be prepared to tolerate Kevin & Joanne Clifton (purely as a one-off).
