Unless you were with Kevin or Brendan I can completely understand an infatuation - mild or serious. All that attention and physical proximity, made to feel so important, then the bond of going through the live challenge. I imagine your head can be turned by the whole situation as much as by your partner tbh. Must seem like an amazing bubble.
It took Darren racing across the dance floor at the rate of knots to Lilia to show Dominic Littlewood that while he was allowed to touch for dance purposes he certainly wasn’t once the last dance was over.

Didn't AA make a flippant comment that dancing with Gio made her feel like a woman again OWTTE.
If so I'd honestly expect her paralysed husband to feel incredibly hurt & question the relationship between both them as a couple & what potentially could develop with her & Gio.

Perhaps AA felt she betrayed her husband & realised she therefore had to leave SCD because there was a danger feelings could develop, her resenting him for what he'll never be able to give her.... that Gio could!

The statement doesn't mention Gio because it can't. Just the mention of his name causes an atmosphere, tension. Cut all ties. Immediately!
This of course leaves everything open to speculation of what might have happened. MH, married couple tension, dance couple not getting on, getting on too well, Gio up to his old tricks....

Fellow SCDs etc are offering good wishes to AA because they know why she left whilst Gio is left out in the cold for doing his job!

IDK, just another perspective, likely incorrect but worth consideration.

The DWTS tribute to Len. It's gorgeous, some beautiful choreography from Jenna and Val and it's nice to see the OG pros back to pay their respects. Len's wife was also in the audience.

The DWTS youtube channel doesn't have this up yet so it might be a bit better quality when it's finally up there.

This rumba, Kara and Artem's rumba, Johannes and John's rumba and also, bizarrely, Katie and Anton's rumba are probably the best the show has had

I LOVE Kate and Anton's rumba. The music suited it so much. And lovely dress and shirt and tie. Aaaahhh the old days!!!

Me and the old dear were at Anton's show tonight.

'Dame' Judy Murray was there and obviously had a catch up with him back stage.

For all his faults, I think Anton did try to make sure his partners had a good time. He obviously didn't take it that seriously.

As for the Lila Rouss stuff, yes these days he'd be dead and buried. And he probably would have been if not for Anne Widdecombe. I've got a vague recollection that she said she would only do the show with him. And she was too good a booking to pass up.

Should also say that I love Gio!!! He has produced fabulous dances over the years. But i think his attitude towards strictly has changed now he realises he'll never get another potential winner.

And that's where I think Strictly falls down - the way it treats the dancers who are no longer flavour of the month. I couldn't stand Kev from Grimsby but that Kill Bill dance was ridiculous. And poor Anneka who was the main victim

If you are a long time fan of Strictly I would suggest watching the entire video. They brought back a lot of the original pros from the early days of the show and I think this was genuinely the most moving tribute I have ever seen. Seeing the pros and Bruno so upset at the end was heartbreaking 💔

I said it over on reddit but I think this is genuinely the most stunning choreography I've seen on DWTS. Jenna has gotten some slack over the years for her choreography but she and Val seem to choreograph really well together. It was nice that the VT was just really with the OG pros and pros who would have been judged by him when they competed.

That’s beautiful. I hope Strictly does something equally as gorgeous and not one of Gilks’ ra ra ra manic show dances

Aww Darren and Lilia. Her compensatory wearing of the lace body stocking when her competitor was having a tough time with a dance was hilarious. Then that part was taken over by Ola Jordan. There used to be so many couples among the pros - I do miss the pre Gilkerson days - and that pro dance for Len reminds me of when they used to be proper dances.

Gorgeous! I wish more choreography like this made it in to the DWTS show

That was such a beautiful tribute and I am sure Len would have adored something so very him - “no messing about. Just a clean, simple Waltz.” And what a wonderful touch getting some of the original professionals back as well. That really was a perfect tribute (and Bruno and Derek’s tears set me off as well).

I was disappointed in the launch show that Strictly didn’t do a dance to remember Len because I remember how gorgeous the Brucie one was. I know he left the show a few years ago but Len was such a fundamental part of Strictly and it would have been lovely to see a similar tribute on our show, especially the thoughtfulness to bring back former professionals. One more classic ballroom pro dance to remember the ballroom legend who hated all the faffing about with props and who helped make Strictly the success it is.

Agree on all points! Aah Kara and Artem! My favourites

I loved seeing Mark Ballas dance with Karina Smirnoff (she's such an amazing dancer - Julianne Hough said she admired Karina above all when she was coming up, living with Shirley and Corky in London)

Oh and Gleb and his partner Mira Sorvino got booted tonight! I thought she was a big name/big draw and would stay longer. I'm sad. Artem has a great partner though - may win?
