I almost ducked out early last night, I was struggling! I literally wailed when I remembered we still had Adam to go too 😩.

I definitely find the audience annoying but you’re strong-armed into making a noise, every opportunity the audience guy is telling you to boo Craig, cheer the dancers etc. They almost hold your Capri Sun and Borders Biscuits back until you make sufficient noise! So I do think with Amy, everyone there would have been genuinely pleased to see her hence even more noise.

I didn’t have the mental energy to recap everyone but random thoughts:

* I too thought Lauren looked like Amanda Barrie’s Cleopatra. There’s was the dance of the night for me, love them.
* Motsi said Angela S was perfect but didn’t give her a 10 yet Eddie got a very undeserved 10 imo. The problem with Shirley is, she can’t hide her bitchiness but also can’t deal with the backlash she gets hence the overcompensating. She can’t stand Karen but I think it came from a need for less backlash on social media. If she wanted to give a 10 for the sake of it then why not Angela S? Oh wait…

Spoiler group query - can anyone tell me the exact name of Juliet’s group on Facebook? I left last year after reading some pretty awful comments but the one I have found doesn’t seem to be Juliet’s one and I can’t find any more spoiler groups.

I think it was inevitable really, she really struggled. Some people just don’t have rhythm and I think she’s one of them. Easier said than done but you have to be a bit robust about the dance off too, and she struggled to get over being there last week.

Just shows with Zara that you can have all the followers but they’re not the ‘staying in and voting’ demographic

I was thinking about Zara’s millions of followers last night and looked at what I could see of who they are. Thirsty blokes, pro accounts and people outside the U.K. Her fan base is not committed to her strictly journey in conclusion. They want to see her tits

OK, I meant watch live on the player …. I just find it helpful in that if I need a break from the bits that are annoying me I just press pause, make a cup of tea or pour a glass of wine, enjoy that and press re-start and I’m back to where I left off.
If one wants to go creative you can prepare and eat your dinner using that system, you do get to watch all but you’ll probably be still watching the show at midnight 😉

I feel like post-Halloween is the Strictly sweet spot. You’re down to about ten couples so the show no longer feels like a marathon but it’s not so short that you feel like it’s barely started when it’s already ending. Plus there’s mostly decent dancers left and we’re free from theme weeks for a while. There’s just the constant mentions of Blackpool to contend with.

I always remember a couple of years ago the tit Katya got for shouting at Craig from the Clauditorium when he gave her a crappy mark. And yet FR has twice now rolled his eyes and looked like he'd swallowed a fly when Craig gives critique and nobody bats an eye.
(also Amanda's hair looks much better like that..)

Her boyfriend is paralysed and in a wheelchair and they were only together a few months before his accident.
Depending on the level of his spinal injury maybe he cant 'perform' any more? Shouldnt think he needs to see her thrusting her crotch in fanny rats face if thats the case.

i thought it was weird too!

the pjs are a bridget jones thing - she starts the film wearing them and drinking wine, but they literally only wore them for the start and end and not in the actual dance.

i had a little rewatch this morning and i really think ellie and vito could win this. there’s just something really lovely about them as a pairing and she’s been, imo, the most consistent celeb so far.

I just think the Nigel vote will be too strong. Or Bobby's (his dance has by far the most views already on YouTube, and the most FB likes). But Ellie is getting loads of positive comments so I have hope she might make the final. think it will be between her and Amanda possibly for a final place.
 
I think Ellie and Angela S are doing really well. I love Nigel, even though last night was awful. Layton and Bobby are very good, and Krishnan is great fun and the best of the beginners.
While I don’t think Krishnan will make the final 6, the others will. Plus probably Amanda.

I do think the show needs to find a different theme week rather than Movie Week (or in Nigel’s case, 60s TV show with an undanceable tune).

Just a few ideas:
Divas week - featuring great tunes from Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Adele etc
Couples Choice week - get them all over in one go
Motown week - speaks for itself
Decades week - songs of the sixties, seventies, eighties etc
 
Does anyone else find it difficult to fairly judge a performance when the song is one they’ve used before?
Last week it was Layton with Putting On The Ritz which was Danny Mac’s amazing Charleston and this week Krishnan’s Money Money which was winner Joe & Katya’s Samba! All I can think about was how amazing those original dances were & end up comparing. Both times the costumes have been very similar too.

I know repeating songs is pretty standard & they only have a certain amount to work with but 2 this series alone from iconic previous performances!

Maybe I just spend too much time on YouTube watching past performances 😂

ETA - apologies if this has already been mentioned, such a fast moving thread ☺️

There really is something lovely about them.
And she has taken everyone by surprise which is nice too. I would like to see them win.

My favourite couple overall, is Krishnan and Lauren but I am not sure if he will be good enough to beat some of the others as the competition heats up.
