I'm just watching tonight's show cos me and the old dear went to the cinema to see the Great Escaper (don't bother with it, absolute waste of 2 fabulous actors Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson)

WTF was that Batman mince!!! For starters, as far as I remember this version of Batman was a tv series, not a movie.

Hate these theme weeks (especially Halloween). Wish we could back to the time when it was proper dances in lovely dresses and suits

And before we go any further, I can't abide Diane she is so fecking smiley and false!!! She's well past her sell by date.

That’s what I mean, he hasn’t been home and he seems to be dying to go home which means that he isn’t putting the full effort in with Nikita. They even said his choreography last week was sloppy.

He didn’t do the choreography last week though … outside choreographers for the Charleston.

i think Nikita is just one of those people who can’t dance. Doesn’t mean she isn’t trying or Gorka isn’t teaching her … just that she can’t improve fast enough In a week. Not common, but they come along every so often … Kate Garraway and Fiona Philips off the top of my head.

Layton being referred to as a diva because he is gay. Original - not. 🙄
The fact that he hasn’t immediately perfected all of the suggested improvements in one week is judged as him not listening. I think he is trying his best, but having to unlearn everything he has trained to do! But he will be criticised either way I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I honestly don't see how layton is meant to be a diva. I love him. But think he's better doing the male role than the female. Last week as sensational. This week, not so much. But he was stuck with a godawful outfit and wig.

And I know we moan about this all the time, but those flaming "singers" are ruining this show for me. I didn't recognise Young Hearts Run Free cos it was so badly sung.

I think from their VT this week you can clearly see this isn't the case! He's worked so hard at building her confidence and making sure she's having a good time!
Gorka himself has said many times he had a bit of a resting b face, which makes people think he'd rather not be there!

not overly surprised at that result, but feel a bit for Nikita. Zara wont be long there either I guess!
I am a bit surprised at Jody getting votes!

I know, right? I think the kind, patient approach with Nikita was for the best, just so she can hopefully get some enjoyment from the Strictly experience and not regret it. On a similar subject, at the start of this series, I saw Anneka Rice tweet about how she regretted signing up for it, which is a bit sad really

Re the controversial Shirley 10, I just saw this on twitter and howled (sorry if it's already been posted)

Totally agree.
She can't dance but I think Gorka has worked really hard to get her to even that level and make it a good experience for her.
 
I imagine the helter-skelter of tonight's show is what popping an E feels like.

Nigel - I knew it would be parodyish because he doesn't take himself seriously, but didn't expect Amazon online fancy dress and a rubbish routine and poor jive.

Angela R- Kai's creepy lip sync and Hair & Costume thinking movie week is joke week. Angela never seeing the film!!

Zara - I just have no interest in her even with the fabulous Graziano. Stomping March

Angela S - AMAZING

Ellie - Brilliant, she looked stunning with those glasses!

Layton - too much attack and Hair dept need to burn all of tonight's wigs ( except Diannes)

Nikita - well that was unexpectedly better, but still awful. She gives me Fiona Phillips limp flashbacks

Adam - just can't warm to him

Amanda - executed like a pro but not feeling it, and walking back to the sofa should have been danced to the sofa. (Wig fail again)

Eddie - nah. The 10 needed 3 marks taken off. Couples choice should be choose one of the Strictly ballroom/latin dances they want to do and to their choice of song, not an anything dance with a VT story.

Boɓby - was Brilliant but the hips were way too much. And Shirley's predator side was ready to pounce

Annabelle - just adore her

Jody - he comes across lovely but I forget him. Enjoyed the dance, underscored but I wouldn't miss him if he went.

Krishna - he surprises me! Wonderfully performed! (Teen son lookalike of Taylor Lautner is traumatised by Claudia😆)

Nail biting fidgety girl will be told off by parents, ripped by her friends and get a phone in interview on ITT.

And Amy, never been a fan of hers, but delighted to see her, and eyes welled up, wishing her good health

On Eddie's dance, I am baffled. He clearly loves Afrobeats, so Karen stuck some African influences into his CCC, which didn't go down that well. Then when it comes to his CC he's doing street dance, which the VTs make clear he has no knowledge of! is this just to satisfy Karen? Shirley bungs him a 10 because for her it's edgy (a basic street dance done to a song from 1997 from a huge corporate film). I guess he is happy as he got a good score, but next week he'll be back in ballroom and prob another car crash.
