Eddie and Karen's CC did not deserve a 10 or even 8s tbh, it was was very similar to past CCs - Bill & Oti, and Karen and partner in 2018, Chucky Venn.

Ellie was good but I don't like the theme. She looked like Gabby Lindley in her costume.

Amanda, Bobby and Layton were my favourites. For entertainment value.

I thought Angela S was good but nothing memorable or special - overmarked.

Annabel and Johannes have a lovely partnership.

All jives tonight were poor. Nigel's and Adam's were a mess. Nikita was bad but she is also likeable.

Angela Rippon and Zara - forgettable.

Krishnan did OK, but Katya did a superior version of that theme with Joe McFadden in 2017.

Jody and Jowita's dance was sweet but kinda forgettable.

Amy made me tear up. Hope she will be OK.
 
Just catching up as I was a late arrival tonight: it seems that the incredibly bored girl behind Craig, who looked like she would have rather been anywhere else in the world, was Amanda’s daughter. That’s really tickled me, because I imagine most teenagers would look like that if they’d been forced to watch their mother doing a rumba on national tv on a Saturday night. My teens would literally burst into flames at the prospect. 😁

What with that and Krishnan’s son getting a welcome from the entire studio, it really was ‘ruin your teenager’s life night’, wasn’t it?


 
I sincerely hope that this is Shirley's last series. When she's not being rude to a celeb, she's lavishing OTT praise on another or giving out stupid marks with no rhyme or reason. And negotiated more money than her pre-existing £500K fee back in April.

Mark's baby is coming in the next few weeks so hopefully she can go and enjoy that and all parties will live happily ever after.

I’ve just caught up now as I like to skip through a lot of it! But I rewound that bit as he did look a bit iffy. He seemed very out of breath after his dance then sweaty and did look a bit like he was zoning out. Hope he’s OK.

Its funny, but I never got that impression at all. She was very enthusiastic, but certainly wouldn't have classed it as drooling in the Kelvin sense of the word.

Yeah he really did, You could see the steps completly go first, then his nerves came in (always knew that would be thing though) then the cape got all tangled but comments were decent and scores were fair still feel gutted for him and agree with those saying the show felt so weird tonight.

It would be a shame if he can’t rein it back when needed, because when his energy matches the dance, like in last week’s quickstep, it’s sublime. If he can bring more softness and flow when needed, he’ll produce some stunning dances.
 
Evening/ Good night all. My jaw is still on the floor from that 10. And still got the ick from Kai and Gio.

Don't know whether I wasn't in the mood but tonight overall was an effort. Bar Angela S and Ellie. We need to see the saucy latin from both of them and a soft romantic Angela. Jody and Jowita were cute. Layton and Nikita are such a fabulous pairing, although definitely not their best. Layton just needs to let go and get used to dancing as a couple not as an individual and fighting Nikita.

And have to say Dianne looked really pretty tonight.
