Howdie, new here, pretty new to strictly as only just started watching it a few years ago...

I have lots I want to say... And lots of questions!!!.. So please bare with me!!

Why does everyone hate Neil?! šŸ¤”
How are the dances chosen each week, is it just random?
Do people think aj & kai were supposed to have been 'together' last year?
..Is he really only 27??!
What was the deal with katya & Adam??!
Wtf went down with Amy & Tom last year??!! šŸ˜³šŸ˜‚

I agree with those that said they don't feel fond of Karen, there's something about her I don't like for some reason... Although yes obviously she has a cracking figure.. And same for Kym, I've always felt a similar cold vibe from her too...

Erm what else, oh yeh Giovani and Rose last year... Did people think there was something between them or....? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

-I'll let other people answer on the Neil thing, as I have no real feelings about him either way :ROFLMAO:
-Not entirely sure on the dances, I think the pros get a say but maybe not much of one.. eg James Jordan I think hated samba and always used to try and avoid doing one, but then I don't know why a pro would CHOOSE a samba on week one and we had two(?) last night, so perhaps they are given a shortlist of possible dances for each week and choose the one they think suits their celeb? I actually dunno.
-Yes some seem to have got overly obsessed with Kai and AJs relationship, I think it was encouraged by everyone, including the two of them, to try and generate interest! It was a showmance that some took way too seriously. And apparently he is, but until I see his birth certificate I maintain he is mid-30s :LOL:
-I don't think anything happened between Katya and Adam, except he almost kissed her at the end of a dance. Personally I think he maybe had a wee crush on her, but I highly doubt anything happened
-As with Kai and AJ, there are people who refuse to believe anything other than Gio and Rose are madly in love. I think she may have split from her boyfriend recently, but I doubt she's with Gio. I reckon just mates, and again, Gio plays up to it because it helps him!

Exactly, same as why there are a lot of cha cha as well. You donā€™t want a technically difficult dance to trip you up when you are really close to the semi finals for example. Do it now when there are lots of people to hide amongst and save something nicer on the eye for if you get further

It was definitely a joke, nobody wanted it to happen! It could have happened though that was a crazy lift for week one.

Same with the jive. Good for Jayde, Kim and James to get it out the way but itā€™s technically a harder dance so I suppose it just means carrying fewer points over.

I enjoyed Willā€™s jive last night and Iā€™ve seen worse jives than that 5/6 weeks in!

I would like to say I donā€™t hate Neil! Heā€™s just so cheesy and pasty and he has an alter ego Nell de Jaunes who he wheels out on It Takes Two and I cringe myself inside out every time. Heā€™s been there about 8 years and has only had two partners so Iā€™m not sure why he stays. But I donā€™t hate him - in fact, he grew on me on the professional tour - he came out with a kilt on and made a joke about being an honorary Scot because heā€™s ginger. He and Kai had some good banter and it was good clean fun!

Thatā€™s what it comes down to really is it. He was meant to have a solo tour last year (after the restrictions had been relaxed) and the date where I am was cancelled anyway šŸ˜¬.

He has the dance school with Katya too of course. But it was funny in the early days, everyone felt sorry for him and thought he must be the choreographer of all of Katyaā€™s dancesā€¦and then he got a partner

Wow this thread has moved fast šŸ˜‚ just caught up on last nights show and this thread, my views -
- Tonyā€™s dance was prob the worst Iā€™ve seen on the show ever
- Nikita is hating this partnership hence no grid post on insta like he was doing week after week last season
- Gio is also hating it and Richie is probably the most annoying person to ever take part.. just topped Tom
- loved will, hamza and molly, James was ok not the best but not the worst, donā€™t shoot me but thereā€™s something about Helen I donā€™t like, same with kym.
- neil got too much air time
- Tom made Amy more annoying last year, hoping she isnā€™t as bad this year
- felt like the show went on for 6 hours never mind 2
- I will 100% be tuning in for 2 hours next week šŸ˜‚
 
Semi strictly related - I watched the bros documentary on Netflix. What a pair of pretentious pricks the Goss brothers are. Matt came across as unlikeable in the documentary as well as on strictly. I think he will be voted off fairly quickly as I am not sure the public will take to him ( unlike Hamza who I thought came across as very likeable).

I think Luba left as she was constantly given crap partners. Which was a shame as we didnā€™t really get to know her properly.
