I watched a bit of that. Very interesting. She speaks very eloquently about gaslighting. What an absolute tosspot Seann is.

ETA: love that the 'Strictly insider' is back in action. Wonder what they do the rest of the year? (Also love that LadyLav has said Richie's was one of the few routines she remembered last night - babe, you literally freeze-frame every second Gio is on screen, of course you recall it!)

Shirley really likes dancing with Kai doenst she 😬

*I hate to say it, but Kym really smashed it. Forgot how much I just love Graz

*He annoyed me a bit on Friday night but I was pleasantly surprised by Tyler

*I love Jayde, Id never heard of her before but she's so likeable. Samba seems hard af but she did great

*Kaye was...alright-ish. Standard duffer, but better than I thought she'd be (but I didn't expect much). ~Anton said promenade everybody drink!~ As IF Craig gave that a 6 WHAT

*I hated Amy last year...realising now I only really hated Tom, I don't mind her as much with Martin Fowler. He was pretty good I thought, and tbh a jive in week one seems almost cruel 😂

*JESUS CHRIST Richie irks me. This dance did little to remedy that. It's quite nice seeing Gio let loose so much though, he actually seems more relaxed, maybe because last year he had his eyes on the prize very early on, whereas this time he's just living in the moment

*Gorka started playing the piano and I fainted for a second. I'm not as taken with Helen as lots of people seem to be...but I really liked their dance. Gorka seems miles happier than he was last year, which is nice

*Carlos in that shirt is...doing things to me I hadn't anticipated 🥵 LOVED this one, my fave so far. Go Molly! Whole thing was brilliant!

*I'm concerned for Nadiya

*Ellie S was great, her and Nikita are a hoot. She rocked it. One of my fave dances.

*I like Will, I like Nancy...really, really loved their dance. Will is way better than I thought he'd be, he's a real competitor I think

*Johannes reminding me why I love him 😍 Thought they were great, super clean (well, to me who knows nothing anyway) And her outfit is gorgeous wow! I really love them

*Hamza yes!🥰 I just love him so much already..oh he's GOOD YAY! Smiled the whole way through, i ADORE them

*Fleur is great, of course. Exactly how I thought their routine would go. She reminds me a bit of Rhys last year though, i think she might struggle a bit with dances that are a bit more delicate. Vito is a great pro addition, glad he has a ringer, he'll no doubt be in for a long time 😍

Molly, Will and Hamza stole it for me!

Her book is brilliant. She refers to seann as “Him” and Katya as the “dancer”. Their relationship was extremely toxic and he was very emotionally abusive.

Even before the kiss thing I found him desperately unfunny and quite sleazy, but the fact that immediately after he was booted off Strictly he incorporated the whole thing into a stage routine, including unnecessary swipes at Neil, then recently stated banging on about it again to raise his media profile and bleating about the negativity he experienced as a result of it all, reinforced my opinion that he’s a manipulative, narcissistic hole.

The pretentious ‘nn’ thing is quite cringe-inducing too.

I was rather amused by Tony’s VT last night ‘Katya’s got a bit of a reputation … for being a strict teacher’ 🤣

I saw that post from her. Interesting how she claimed to not remember the routines from any of the strongest dancers aside from Fleur - and she made sure to mention that she only remembered her because she was last 😉

I’m not going to lie; I’m going to enjoy watching LL trying to spin Richie and Gio as a decent partnership. She’s already accused people of being homophobic for thinking Gio’s annoyed by Richie and she’s acting like Richie’s dance was more memorable than the likes of Will and Hamza so it’s already going great!
 
I love Strictly and I’m so happy it’s back.
I thought Will was great.
Helen and Gorka already have a lovely partnership and they are my early favourites.
Karen looks bloody amazing.
Matt is a bit of a strange one to say the least. I was hoping Nadiya would get Martin from EE, he seems lovely, and he’s tall!
 
Worried about the height problem Ellie S and Nikita have to contend with. At first I thought Nikita being a couple of inches taller than Gorka must not be too big a deal or they wouldn't have paired them, but it defs looked awkward. Just rewatched Terra and Sasha's cha cha, and he's not having to stoop anywhere near as much. Think maybe Nikita should just give up trying to reach her back at all and aim for the elbow instead.

Otherwise, loved their routine and hope they go far.

i watched a little bit of terra too after seeing her mentioned here yesterday and agree that her partner isn’t having to stoop to the extent that nikita is.

she’s obviously a decent dancer with natural rhythm but i don’t think they’ll be able to overcome the slight awkwardness of it. and that’s no one’s fault at all, there’s some things that you just can’t work around. i wonder how the ballroom will look. i agree with you that nikita has to get out of the habit of naturally reaching for her back and aiming higher.
