i feel like his showdance ended it for him sadly. his american smooth is one of my favourite ever strictly numbers.

i will argue for the next 100 years that maisie had probably the best final ever - two amazing routines and a great showdance, and should have won. she just got targeted as a ringer way too early and was never going to get the audience on her side (i remember someone on ds trying to say she was a professional ballerina )

I love HRVY, he's so sweet, had some good dances, some not so good, including showdance. Janette was never gonna be enough for him to win.

There were so many good and memorable bits to Strictly 2020. God, it's amazing how good a season it was, given the whole pandemic/lockdown shitshow. Everyone just tried so hard to make it run as normal, it was a pillar of (sparkly) stability in a very weird and unstable time.

i will forever be weirdly grateful for that particular series! the final went out actual minutes after the christmas lockdown got announced and i remember being so thankful it was there. it really is escapism tv at its best.

i actually really loved the cabaret table set up for the couples to watch from too. i’ll be sad not to see them this series!

If Bill wasn't there and he had anyone other than Janette, HRVY would have won it. Janette seems one of the nicest people but the show gave her way too many chances. Would have been interesting to see if another pro could have pushed him a little bit more.

She annoyed me with HRVY, didn’t particularly like him either, but as the years have gone on I’ve just found Janette tiresome and desperate, I used to really like her though.

I think it might be my favourite series (unpopular opinion: better than 2021). So many great moments and a fantastic final - unusual to have any fab showdances let alone two. We were truly spoilt!

The bit in that series that sticks out for me was early on, when Boris was giving his speech announcing we were going back into lockdown and it looked like Strictly was going to be delayed. But then it started, and and Tess said something like not too worry, they were going to put on a great show and carry on. Even thinking about it gets me a wee bit emotional

Surprised it even lasted that long. He never seemed that in to her and probably stayed this long because of the kid. When he nearly kissed Katya and said it was part of the routine nobody really bought it.

That's a really interesting thing to say. I wonder who everyone would say in the whole twenty years of Strictly is the celebrity that's been on that they find it hardest to believe accepted going on. The biggest name, prime point in their career, not a has been and OMG how did Strictly get them to agree!!!

Never posted here before but tbh came running when I saw this!! The way he went on when on strictly got me wondering every week, he was far too close with Katya in my opinion and not something I’d have ever been comfortable with. Wonder if it’s something to do with that or if he’s done something since? I think he’s deffo cheated when you read the caption about him letting them both down.

Yikes! they were posting loved-up pics only the other day! I don't think it's about Katya but sounds like he's done something (or else, as he has said before, he is just too selfish/committed to his sport) to be there for him.. TBH I was surprised that they didn't split after Strictly, but they seemed pretty solid..

Soooooo many. Jerry Hall is one of the biggest ‘WTF?!’ for me because she (probably) didn’t need the money, didn’t seem to be using it as a springboard for something else, and couldn’t really be arsed so it’s not like she was fulfilling a burning ambition
