Poor Laura.
Gio split up with Georgia just before the new series … so she incurred the wrath of all the fans heartbroken on Georgia’s behalf (didn’t Georgia do some sort of passive aggressive tweet along the lines of don’t blame Laura … when no one actually was?)
So you had Laura, who didn’t really want to be there anymore with Gio who you got the impression she didn’t really get on with, carrying an injured ankle.

yep! and i’m sure that laura and georgia were/are good friends? 🧐 dancing with your friends very recent ex can’t have been a fun experience for her either!

at least we got “congrats on yer spins” out of it 🤣
 
To be honest, knowing everything I know now about Laura Whitmore, I'm kinda glad that Gio danced around her and kinda got her chucked out. Does not seem like a nice person and glad she didn't stay in.

He's never had a duffer. I think he's evolved into the type of pro who can get the best out of most partners (see his series with Ranvir) but no pro is a miracle worker, still don't think he could have taken Jacqui Smith any further than the first boot. Nor do I think he'd have been able to get anything more out of Susannah Constantine or Anneka. There are some celebs who would be a bit rubbish regardless of the pro.

Yep, exactly that. Just like the love of her life pre dumping him for Gio became an abuser overnight.
 
Laura has never come across great and although it was an awkward situation, I don’t feel that sorry for her. I’m sure Gio said at some point that he wanted Anastacia? Who ironically didn’t get on with Brendan.

I love the way he just drops her hand like a hot potato and just spins into oblivion, I still watch it back just to laugh at the pettiness and for that I love him 🤣

That dance was pretty much all about him. The way he undoes his jacket buttons mid dance then proceeds to give it some moves and fancy steps and Laura just wiggles a bit by his side. :ROFLMAO: If he was going out then he was going out doing his finale. :cool:

This is presumably made up but I wouldn't be shocked if Gio got Richie - as probably their most popular pro, do the producers want him exiting in week 4 with Kaye or another semi-duffer?
