The semi-final is going to be on Sunday due to the World Cup, and the week before might be moved as well.

It's bucket list for me to try and get Blackpool. I love that seaside resort, love the venue and love the show.

Kind of on the fence with Katya a lot of the time. I like her and her routines are entertaining but I sometimes find her a bit disingenuous. All the extreme 'wackiness' and 'look how much FUN I'm having!' seems very forced (and quite annoying) and I never get a sense that's really her. During the 2019 series, I just wanted to give her a hug because she looked so on edge all the time with this massive forced grin

And agree, Seann Walsh is a bellend and needs to move on or shut up

I heard Seann on Richard Herring's podcast a couple of years ago and Richard obviously asked about Strictly/kissgate and I was really surprised to hear him say that, prior to it going entirely tits up, Strictly was the best thing he'd ever done in his life. He sounded completely genuine about it too.

Why he's still banging on about it in his act is bizarre, though.

Makes me wonder how things would have turned out on the show for him if that didn't happen. He wasn't a good dancer and left around the right time but I wonder if the public vote may have carried him further.

I think he could have been very popular with viewers. I remember the first few shows he was pretty funny and his quips worked well. His reaction to his (low) scores also came over well and then the Matrix Paso went down a storm in movie week (thanks to a great use of smoke and mirrors).

Crazy how things turn out.

I thought he came over poorly from the start, had always thought he was a bit creepy and subsequent actions have demonstrated he is

He has admitted it basically ruined his career hasn’t he. Big much for a kiss but the public are a strange bunch. 🤣
We are, aren't we?

It could have gone so differently for him without the stupid kiss. He could have had Chris Ramseys' career trajectory instead. Imagine: he gets a couple weeks more in the competition, goes out at Blackpool, has some nice interviews in which he does not blow up reputations and marriages. Then he does the tour, comes across well on stage (not hard for a stand-up comedian) and then it would be a lot easier to crack the panel show/presenting circuit as now he's a more familiar face to the TV watching public.

And then he gets to go on Cats Does Countdown, House of Games, Taskmaster, gets to present naff talent shows for megabucks...you know, all the things Chris Ramsey got when he DID NOT snog his dance partner on Strictly.

True but he's married to that awful miserable Rosie woman so poor bugger has to get his laughs somewhere! 😉

I think his own response has also cemented everything. And the fact that his then-girlfriend talked about how emotionally abusive he was to her. The fact that he is still getting digs in at Katya tells us how lacking in class he is.

Yes, it was probably an attempt at bravado to look like he was totally nonchalant about the whole thing, but he made some pretty indefensible comments about it all - comments in his stand-up along the lines of ‘I kissed a gay man’s wife’. twit.

I did not know that. What a horrid little man. For the best Strictly didn't provide him with bigger opportunities if he was that vile and mean spirited about an innocent party.

Seann looks like he stinks and needs a good wash.

I don’t think Neil is hated on this thread we just like to take the piss out if him. I personally think he comes over as a nice person but his choreography is shite and i personally don’t think he is a good dancer. That cringe dance to Years and Years he did with Dianne in the results show is etched into my brain forever and it’s not a pretty sight.
