Yeah I was so glad she didn't get through. Though it must of annoyed her that Richard only said Colin Murray had been on HOG and not her! Or if he did I blocked it out

I read that wrong while scrolling and thought it was Colin Murray was on Strictly, and just about fell off my chair in shock.

I love Colin (he needs to be permanent Countdown host!), but I really don't think he's the type for Strictly. I can just imagine his wee horrified face if he got shoved onto a dancefloor in green spangles and told he needed to samba.

He'd hate Strictly - I can imagine him wanting to argue/discuss the judges critique and Tess laughing like a drain and trying to shut him up
A couple of posters over on DS can't hack him as Countdown presenter and seem to be getting more and more irate 😁

If anybody is interested in heights, I saw an article earlier while mindlessly scrolling saying that Carlos is the shortest male pro at 5ft5. I thought he looked quite tall in pictures but my perspective is as good as Father Dougal's, frankly.

Yeah I saw that too, but I'm not sure it's accurate. Just looking at some of the group pics - he's next to Johannes and I reckon he's about 5"10 ish? He definitely doesn't look that short (definitely not shorter than Cameron at any rate)

That's what I thought, too.

I think Carlos is really sexy after browsing his Instagram - hope he has a partner so we can see him in action.
 
Possible opinion - I wonder if both Nadiya & Nikita will get contenders this year being that both are from Ukraine. It would be a good look for the show IMO and there are potential partners for them in the cast who can go far. Tyler/Nadiya and Fleur/Nikita, there you go - two finalist couples.

I'd rather see Carlos with a celeb than Neil. Working with my predictions - if Carlos isn't too tall then he can go with Helen and Vito with Kym. Then we're spared Neil.
 
Apart from over-looking Chloe and Neil, have they ever partnered a new pro over someone who's been a long-standing bench-botherer?

I think those two were a different in that they seemed to have been hired as a package with their dance partners and the producers weren't that keen on them personally. But I'd be surprised if they don't pick Cameron this year, seeing as there's a celeb in his height and age range - because why bother hiring him otherwise

Saying that, if there were more male pros due to be benched this year, then I would give him a Christmas partner first. In the dances he did with Jowita last year, it seemed pretty obvious he wasn't quite up to them same standard. Hopefully he'll improve a bit this year
