I like Gorka - I really do. The way he talks about Gemma and his little girl is beyond sweet and respectful. And he is a good choreographer (for a good partner - I'm not sure he's great with the less gifted). But he never quite 'gels' with his partners imo. Maisie was a great dancer but miles better with Kai at the tour.

I think he did very well with choreographing for Katie Piper. She was obviously terrified and just couldn't dance to save her life, but he managed to make her look halfway decent. There was hardly any dancing in their jive, for example, but he covered it up brilliantly with story. Actually I think pretty much all of their dances were 70% faffing about, but it didn't look as obvious as it often does.

And I'd say same with Katie McGlynn too. She wasn't as bad, but underprepared, and he did a great job of distracting from her shortcomings in that American Smooth (and not even just with the doggy crawl 😂 ) I thought the whole dance was quite good, and did a decent job of hiding her lack of rehearsal time.
