I think it’s a bit difficult when you follow Strictly pro’s through the year and not just while the show is on to appreciate that for a lot of viewers even with the red hair, they will have completely forgot about her until the Launch show comes round.

Flavia has to be one of the most popular female pro’s to have been on the show … didn’t stop her getting Craig Kelly or Russell Grant, though.
 
I love how thirsty we all are for Gorka! He is just perfect. 🔥
I agree that someone who wants to be there and gives it a good go would be an improvement on his partner last year!
I think anyone from a girl band might be too much of a ringer. A sports woman who is good fun might work. I would love Laura Kenny to do it but not sure it’s her type of thing.

I like Gorka too.
I wasnt on Tattle for previous Strictly threads so I am sure it was discussed at the time - but my overall impression of Katie was that she wasn't really interested or something. I think I remember reading that she hadn't much time to practise because of her other work commitments but that apart, she seems lacklustre about the whole experience.
 
I just thought she’d lost last year’s Eastenders Rock, paper, scissors contest.

I wish they wouldn’t be quite so hot on the big upcoming storyline … they can do Strictly selection process. It turned Scott Maslen into a shadow of his former self, sent Kelly Bright ever so slightly manic (although Kev probably didn’t help there) and Emma Barton had to put up with a week or so of Our Shirl telling her to put more effort in when she’d just eaten 3 Christmas dinners on the trot before having to jive.

He seems to stay in touch with his partners after and I've often seen him bigging them up when they go onto other projects.

No he seems like a complete and utter sweetheart 🥰 I would love him to win.

Yeah, I've nothing against Katie, it just seemed like, along with having no time to practice, she liked the idea of Strictly more than the actual reality of it.

And she had quite a deadpan, standoffish personality which when you're competing against people like Dan and Sara who were very 'STRICTLY IS MY LIFE', it doesn't endear you to viewers very much.

Also, she was too tall for Gorka and they looked weird together

BIB - Yes, absolutely. She seemed nice enough albeit very very low-key.

I used to watch Corrie years ago, and she kinda played herself really, a very lacklustre character. I think she died then - the character that is 😉 but nobody noticed.
She went onto one of the other soaps then afaik.

Anyway hopefully Gorka gets a good partner this year.

Possibly! I am in Ireland get bbc here but cannot vote on the bbc site without vpn , i know.. pay for vpn so i can vote on strictly 😂 ( ok i do watch iplayer etc too) we use cyberghost which works fine. have never watched bbc live on my phone though but can check if you wish

It wouldn't be as bad than if she is partnered with that Welsh weatherman I think his name is owan (if he does it that is) I can imagine him and dianne being so annoying.

They were both on that weird programme about jumping into iced water - would they pair them if they've already been on a BBC show together?
