I’m pleased with Will, Kim is a bit meh. She opened our town carnival a few years ago, she looked horrified to be here til they gave her a bottle of Prosecco and a glass and she was driven around town drinking and waving to all us plebs haha.

On another note, I saw Amy’s wedding pics and she looked lovely but I thought Diane’s ridiculous hair really spoilt the look of the pics with the bridesmaids in.

Haha, dying at Kym and her bottle of fizz. Hopefully she won't need one to get on the dance floor like Auntie Shirl.

I agree about Dianne's hair - didn't go with the dress or the theme. I often think her hair cheapens a ballroom dance too.

I used to like Aliona’s take on having to be the redhead … one Clairol wash-in wash-out around launch show time … much hair washing and fading over the series until almost back to normal come final time.

It’s odd, isn’t it? The male pros aren’t forced to have distinct hair colours. In Aliona’a first season I think the other blondes were Kristina, Ola & Natalie, mostly the female pros had darker hair (Flavia, Lilia, Katya V, Erin), so I don’t see why Aliona couldn’t have kept her preferred hair colour 🤷‍♀️

I think it’s because at one point a few years back she was one of the staples in the Heat/Hello/OK/side bar of shame stable shilling everything from family tragedy to weight loss/gain and accompanying exercise DVD.

This is a very good point. 3 soap actresses and two Corrie ones is a row feels unlikely. I don't mind her that much but Kym Marsh gives off strong 'i'd like to speak to the manager' vibes

I would put her with Graziano or Neil. Will Mellor I can see being a good match with Karen or Katya, personality wise

Would love to see Gorka with a sportsperson or comedian. Just someone who actually wants to put the work in and have fun would be an improvement on last year 😬

Yes it would be nice to see him with someone fun again too to be fair like when he had Tameka. Someone fun with a bit of rhythm who wants to work at it and gives their all. I wouldn’t be against him in a male partnership at all I think it’ll be two women this year again though.

Shirley gets more infuriating by the year. Her schtick now pretty much goes:

Young male celeb: makes inappropriate comments, fans self, gives 9
Older male celeb: praise for trying, gives 8 just for making it onto dancefloor
Young female celeb: 'well, you missed this one step so I'm going to have to mark you down'
Older female celeb: makes sycophantic speech about how she's 'representing the older woman', gives 8 even though it's obviously a 4 or 5 at most
