I dunno my colleagues are pretty toxic . Maybe he’s held it in for so long that he just blurted it out. We don’t know what questions were being asked so we don’t really have any context.

I think they’ve both done well considering they’re not exactly the most interesting people in the world. Kai’s doing his slightly strange, icky tour with Nadiya (who is a goddess and way out of his league) and AJ is presenting loads and doing the rounds on bbc quiz shows. Z list celebs cling to relevancy on the back of showmance controversy - the real strictly fairytale.

Ranvir only got together with that young bf a good while after the show. But yes, like Rio shippers, it was I think Ranvannis who first unearthed the Maura-Gio romance and probably alerted press to it accidentally - the lesson is: don't do internet digging unless you're prepared for what you find!

LadyLav watching Saturday Mash Up because Jowita was on it (and publicly admitting it) is surely beyond the call of devotion to him. I have kids and can barely sit through it

Couldn't think of anything worse...and I quite like Kai and Nadiya all seems a bit self indulgent and sickly sweet seems they think they are the bestest, most in love Strictly couple ever and the public are just desperate to know all about it and I fairly sure that is not the case! They make a gorgeous couple, they seem happy but totally not interested in their story.

Yeah, they seem happy and it's nice but it feels a bit premature to be selling this as a great love story after, what, 11 months? Are there that many Kai and Nadiya fans to compete with Gio's tour and the two Strictly tours, plus Gorka and Karen?

She was definitely single and talked a lot about that for a good while after Strictly, although she did meet your man on it. I think she has prob adjusted the timeline to erase all memory of Ranvanni, fair enough.

It is dangerous territory to tread, publicly dissing any person you have worked with, his comments really fly in the face of his 'gentleman' status that they are currently peddling. He is a great dancer, why sully it with such comments.

The likes of Alijaz would never say anything dubious about anyone, he always comes across as fun, smiley, tolerant and respectful to everyone, sometimes I wonder how he does it. As for Amy, she never stops short of moving in, platonically, with the family of her dance partner.

To be fair, in 2020 the Ranvannis had Maura come and spoil all their delusional fun, then Ranvir come out and say that during most of the series she was with the young strictly staff guy anyway. The only shippers who have won in a while are the Joe/Dianne ones.

Oh yes, every year there have been shippers, Alex/Neil (remember that dark time), Ranvanni, AJ&Kai, who have held Joe and Dianne up as the gold standard of 'this is what happens when your ship sets sail' Unfortunately for them, nine times out of ten it doesn't. It just tickles me that both the 2021 ships have been not just sunk, but torpedoed, recently

I dunno I kinda rate Kai for finally just saying it how it is. He and AJ both ran with the showmance narrative, that the producers were probably at the back of btw, but this happens every year. It’s really not that deep. It’s not his fault that emotionally stunted adults chose to use him as a vehicle for their own insanity.

Me too. I always thought he was a little uncomfortable with the 'showmance' - much more so than her. It was her nieces and nephews who were brought along to be video'ed at a training session telling them to kiss. They both had to be in on that but her relatives who were being used as bait and she must have agreed to that.

Took the time to read the S*n article in full rather than skim read it as it was all rather tedious, but am now having a giggle at some of the quotes.

Had to laugh at the line that they wore disguises, thought it may be one of these

Didn't both their PR's deny their relationship throughout the arena tour when there were almost daily pap pics of them together?? So let's re-phrase, they mean they lied for as long as they could. Also would like to let them know it was not a burning issue for most of us.

The one redeeming thing is that Nadiya said that 'her and Dan were still great friends', perhaps he didn't message her 24/7!! Always thought that if Dan had been 'up for it' then Nadiya definitely would.

Personally, I think that both AJ and Kai played into the romance rumours. If Kai had a problem with any of it, I would like to think that he would have spoken up ages ago. Either way, there are ways of clarifying things in a way that is respectful to everyone. Kai didn't even have to mention AJ. He could have said before the interview that he didn't want to talk about the romance rumours. AJ did one interview where she didn't want to talk a lot about Kai.

Yep, at least one of their representatives denied that they were together. For two people who didn't want to admit that they were together, there were a lot of pictures of them during the tour. I have just remembered that they were caught kissing in a hotel lobby during the tour.

Going by the ticket sales, nope! However, they still have time to sell more tickets. I do actually like Nadiya. I just don't think that she has that special something to make her a popular pro.


In other news, Fleur and Vito caught up over lunch yesterday.
I thought that they met up yesterday to start rehearsing for the tour.
Fleur did a live this morning. She was wearing a jumper that Vito got her for Christmas.

I don’t think the Kai comments are that deep tbh, he’s probably just fed up of people still being rude about his girlfriend even a year on. I can’t help but think if AJ had done an interview saying the same that all of the shippers would be loving it and laughing, but because it was Kai he’s now the devil. They both played up to the showmance but AJ significantly more than Kai, looking back her posts were actually a bit embarrassing she was doing way too much

I also never take these interviews that seriously as it’s very easy for comments to be taken out of context. I have to laugh at the lunatics on DS saying how awful it is that they done an interview with the sun, when AJ has done multiple with them yet nothing was said They also claim that Kai only mentioned AJ to sell tickets for his tour, i’m sorry but 80% of strictly viewers have probably already forgotten who AJ is.

Yeah I’m not really sure why Kai is getting cast as such a villain today- it could come across better but he’s not said anything terrible. He’s also allowed not to have loved every second.

I don’t know if because 2021 seemed to have lots of good friendships come from it (bit like this year I think) that them not really staying in touch is a bit more of a sore point? Anyway, no ‘not even hiding the contempt’ in a strictly partnership in recent times will come close to Richie and Gio

I don't mind posting on here because I know that I wasn't one of the shippers who were 100% convinced that AJ and Kai were together. I was one of the more realistic posters on there.

I don't think that any of the people from AJ and Kai's AT are bothered that they aren't friends. It was clear that they weren't friends ages ago. People on the thread just don't like how he spoke about AJ.

Right? It’s really bizarre. Daddy’s Aj’s fine!

The stans have a weird dynamic where they blow smoke up her arse claiming she’s on the cusp of world domination, but then infantilise her in relation to anything to do with Kai. I’ve said it before but I find stanning/shipping strangely fascinating. I’d love to understand the psychology behind it.

Re AJ and Kai, they both played up to a showmance which is fine - it pulled in the votes. He is allowed to reflect on not being 100% comfortable with his Strictly experience. I can only imagine how intense it must be and how easily attachments are formed that may be little one sided on the celeb's part.

I don't think Kai has really said anything bad about AJ and certainly not directly. The messaging 24/7 is likely to be more of a reflection on how it really is for a pro with any partner, having to be a teacher and a therapist and a friend all at once.
