Adam and Nicola weren't crap.

I see a lot of 'insert name of pro here' should get a ringer and in an ideal world it would be fair for each pro to get a turn with one but its hard to book one for the show as is because a lot of them are either musical theatre performers, singers and actors who are booked and busy.

It's so weird it's like the cult of Dave over at DS a number of posters said on the spoiler thread unless it was confirmed by Dave they wouldn't believe it and all sorts of embarrassing sucking up to him. Why? I know why Dave does it, money but why do people revere him? He doesn't appear to post about anything other than the spoiler, he isn't particularly personable, and he doesn't even deliver the spoiler anymore.

Which of Katya’s partners has been a ringer exactly? I don’t know if i’ve missed a season because as far as i’m aware she’s never had one 🤣

I actually saw a comment under AJ’s most recent post asking if she’s going to perform her showdance in Blackpool 🤣 I was also having a look over on DS to see what they thought of the news of her being the new host of big brother, only to see them only discussing the fact that kai & aj don’t acknowledge each other and nothing to do with her amazing new career move 🤣

I believe Katya’s ringer was Joe McFadden, who had done some musical theatre pre Strictly

Maybe, but it's also possible he just went out drinking after she dumped him and got involved in a fight, or just fell A over T. But it has always made me wonder at the back of my mind, if it was the ex, did he do something bad like cheat? (Not that that would excuse her assaulting him of course) I really hope not, but can't help but wonder. Something definitely seemed sus.

It was reported like that at first, but then the stuff about the broken engagement came out, so who knows what really happened? I do think it's possible that the break-up was just a coincidence, or only indirectly related i.e. caused him to have a few too many. Neil and Aljaz were with him, and apparently they were near a gay bar, so it may well have been a pack of neanderthals who thought they were all gay.

I think she takes things a bit too seriously/personally sometimes, and is over-competitive, but I find it endearing, because you can see she puts her heart and soul into her job.


I would also love to see her with a ringer, but slightly worried it could end up being a disappointment. As much as I love her, I think she fucked up last year with Adam by going overboard. I think he could have lasted longer, but IMO she got too excited over getting her first non-tit partner since Joe and tried to push him too hard, made the routines too complicated and wound up making him look worse than he was. That said, he had a tit run of dances though - having rumba, argentine tango, samba in a row didn't help.

I think it's admirable that Katya challenges her partners but i agree about Adam. His first dance was promising but you could see him struggling from week 2 onwards with stuff that looked way beyond him

Although tbf to Katya, I imagine Adam was the sort of personality that wanted to be pushed and challenged (and perhaps wasn't used to not being the absolute best at something so struggled with that side of things too)

I don't think he was quite a ringer either. He had some standout dances, but there were quite a few that were forgettable or not very good.
