I didn't like what I saw of the first season, it all seemed so intense and there wasn't the same fun vibe that came along in future years. Plus the dancing was bad, Natasha would be an early out now and I reckon she wouldn't do well in a champions of champions season. Things thankfully improved over Series 2 & 3 then the show really came alive in Series 4 IMO.

As for Jayde
I really can’t see her lasting that much longer. Something is going to trip her up and really show her lack of any decent technique probably the jive or one of the super technical slower ballroom.

She’s used up her allocation of woe is me sob stories with doing it for the big girls and the dead sister. Audiences aren’t going to like her (or anyone really) manipulating them for a vote in a few weeks time when the skills really matter.

and so far the 'woe is me' stories have been for her Cha Cha and American Smooth - we haven't had her 'Couples Choice' yet!

I went years ago but they recorded the singer before the live show even started. We had a break after the live show to go to the toilet and have a drink at the bar which must have been when costume/hair changes were happening but it was only about 30/40 minutes. Then they recorded the pro dance and the group dance (it was Remembrance Sunday the next day when I went so they did a celeb routine in addition to the normal pro dance) before doing the results and dance-off bit. It was definitely a long day, especially since we had to get there early to ensure we got in, and they must all be exhausted by the time Sunday rolls around.

I think it could be arranged as a waltz, just about. I would love to see a dashing male pro in the ruff and hose, especially as Lord Flasheart (woof!)

IIRC there was a ‘champion of champions’ Christmas special and Natasha did not fare well next to Jill.

Fleur reposted a story from someone on the production team who commented that Vito had been unwell this week and they'd only done two days training? He looked shattered on his story this morning.

So that would make Will, Kym, Hamza, Vito, Katya (possibly) all sick this week to varying degrees. And all spreading it round everywhere, which is worrying, given that we are only in week 4 in a mild October! 😷🤒

Karen has really grown on me over time and I like her even more after seeing this.

Catching up. Hamza and Fleur brilliant last night. Jowita and Vito, are both quickly becoming favourite pros. Felt for Helen as she strikes me as a person who just wants to get on with it - I enjoyed her dance and thought Craig’s 6 should have been a 7. I’m looking forward to whatever random music is picked for the dances next week.
Is it tonight Luba and Karen are dancing together in the pro dance?
when is Katya meant to start her panto season, I’m guessing her and Tony will need to be voted off before then.
