A Morecambe and Wise dance should be in there but will again be compared to a KFG dance. Some more suggestions Keeping up appearances, The vicar of Dibley, The Royle Family, Hole in the Wall (for Anton's sake), Gavin and Stacey, Fleabag. I loved the Pride and Prejudice and Mastermind suggestions.

In another thought I wish Tyler had have dedicated his couples choice to his love of torches and prance about to Jessie J Flashlight or Jennifer Hudson's Spotlight.

I agree. In fairness, I think she was always pretty good all round, she just got cast as the 'baddie' when she split up with Kev then we all realised he was a knob.

I think the Jordan’s leaked it to the press themselves. There was bad feeling between Kevin and James, I always felt James was a bit jealous of Kevin’s popularity. The funny thing was that Ola and Joanne Clifton were pretty good friends at one time. Bizarre.

To those who have been lucky to get tickets to watch the show can you explain how long apart do they record the Sunday show from the live show ending. The judges have different clothes and hair and they usually wheel out a singer. Surely it must feel a very long day even for the audience.

From what I can remember it was about an hour break, but it is a long day. Pre-covid (so things might have changed now), you’d be up at Elstree at at least 5am to sit in a camping chair in the freezing cold queue that didn’t open til 8 just to get a sticker number (which didn’t actually have a huge amount of difference in where you sat - if you were first in the queue you got a front row audience seat but that was it). Me and my mum were 88th, and we were 3 rows back on the floor but moved to the back where you could actually stand up to watch dances but weren’t seen on telly (kind of better that way ). Once you got your sticker, you go back to your hotel/about your day until about 4pm, when you go back to the studio, can get some merch, given a snack and hand your phone in. Audience warm up was about 5.30, show actually starts whenever it goes live, then in the break between the live show and the results show filming they might film the pop act & dancers a couple of times, if you’re really lucky (depending on scheduling) you might get two pop acts. Whole thing winds up about 10.30 but you’ve been there since about 4/4.30 and up at 5.

I’d do it again in a heartbeat, but I think there may be a more efficient way to do seat allocations

Yes James said many times after he left that things were weighted in favour of the Cliftons, I can’t remember if he included Karen in that, but certainly Kevin and Joanne

It's hard to see why you didn't find Joe wearing a flat cap sexy. I've often thought that that's what ATs are missing - more flat caps.

Now and again I’ll look at James’s tweets to see what he makes of the dances, and he’ll regularly quote tweet people who’ve said why isn’t James a judge with the words because I’m too honest. I don’t think he’s being too honest when he says that

i wasn’t a huge james fan but i always read his tweets as i think, in general, his comments are fair and well judged. i think he (and ola) burnt bridges with the show in general though, so his honesty is the least of the reasons why he won’t be a judge

In a very very weird turn of events mine was also the week Brian Connolly was voted off because I remember the headlines being all “Brian has foul mouthed rant” and it was more like…he swore but was actually really lovely in his leaving speech?
