Honestly... I don't think she has any chance. There have been plenty of single ladies available over the years. Gorka has chosen Gemma who wasn't even his partner. They share a love of fitness and travel. Both seem down to Earth. Gemma is at least 6 years older too. I think Gorka prefers the less high maintenance, drama free ladies.
 
I don't think Maisie is trying to get with Gorka. I imagine the pros and celebs get close over the course of the show because of the volume of time spent together but it doesn't mean they are all tryna get in each others pants (although some do 😂).
Im enjoying the show this year but agree with the person who said it has lost some of its sparkle. Defo needs a change up for next year!

Definitely agree 😂😂 I don’t see anything indicating she’s trying to “get his attention” she knows he has a partner and a child. She’s only 19 and she gets her fair share of attention
 
I think with Maisie and Gorka she’s just got a bit of a school girl crush. I’m sure we’ve all crushed on a teacher despite them having a partner and kids (in year 11 this girl had the biggest obsession with the head of English, it was so embarrassing tbh, he left at the end of that year, he would’ve taught her for A Levels if he‘d stayed). Plus, apart from working on eastenders he’s the only person she sees and has likely formed a friendship with, it’d be hard to spend so much time together if they didn’t get on so well tbh.
 
Sorry to go OT but I’m dying to watch old series’ of Strictly but as in the whole episode, with judges comments and scoring and even the cringe VTs, rather than just what’s on YouTube with the dance alone. I’m sure this isn’t possible with BBC licensing and such though, right?

You can buy them from series 14 onwards, but the older series aren't available in full anywhere I don't think. There are playlists of clips of the old series on YouTube that have VTs and judges' comments, but not every dance is available, and they often get copyrighted by the BBC. I'll put some links in spoilers 👀

Assuming there’s no cast changes I’d like to see
Dianne (girl is due a decent run imo)
Aljaz (similar reasons)
Johannes (because he’s a fan fave and genuinely a decent performer)
Luba (I’d love to see what she could do with someone who actually has decent dance ability)
 
  • Katya - only had 1 good partner in 5 series and even he wasn't a full on ringer.
  • Dianne - not had a legit good one yet and deserves to go far for a change.
  • Johannes - due a longer run and is popular, plus deserves a reward for having Caroline this year.
Not sure on the 4th one. Gorka has Maisie this year but I wouldn't mind him getting a journey type for a change and sneaking into the final. Maybe Karen or Nadiya? Maybe a new male pro?

I think in theory those pros that deserve a ringer next are Dianne, Karen, Katya, Luba, Nadiya, Aljaz and Johannes (I guess Neil and Graziano do too, but...). Though I don't think it's very likely with Nadiya or Luba, just because most tall male celebs seem to be awkward sportsmen who don't last very long

Would be interested to see what Katya would do with a proper ringer. Even though I find a lot of her routines way too gimmicky, she's certainly knows how to be creative

Gorka seems to go from one extreme to another with his celebs' ability, so would be great to see him with a fun middler contestant next

Giovanni has had more than his fair share of ringers but fair play, he's done well with a beginner this year (even though that's involved making sure they do very little party Latin 😆). Maybe he'll be first in line for the first male same sex partnership

Diane was runner up with Joe only two years ago!

For me it has to be Johannes and Nadia who need to be given ringers.
