No, that was Joshua Keefe, he's part of the choreography team and used to be a pro on DWTS Australia. Kai is the dark-haired one who was one of the leads in the Remembrance Day dance, and is a pro on DWTS Ireland :)

Yeah that was a good one, and I really liked Jay and Aliona's rumba as well, but not many of the male celebs can do it well 😬

Thankyou!
Well I like Joshua Keefe.

He was really impressive

So easy to fall into the old routines rabbit hole! 😂
Gorka and Alexandra were shockingly good! I loved their Paso!
I always felt bad for Alexandra because she didn’t get many votes because people didn’t like how she had previous experience, didn’t help her being introduced as musical theatre star tbh, were as other contestants, like Karim and HRVY get praised and their dance experience ignored. It’s quite unfair how if a female contestant has had training they get hated on, were as people seem to ignore it if a male contestant has.

There's definitely a double standard around experience. Female stars like Facebook, Alexandra and even Ashley (although she seemed a better dancer than Giovanni or AJ) get abuse for having experience whereas with Kelvin and Karim last season it was totally ignored.

I actually really respect how maisie has owed her experience and not hidden it unlike HRVY who's manager has scrubbed his wikipage and his constant confusion each week claiming he's never heard of the dance. But it obviously shows being this disingenuous obviously works with the majority of the audience

What I've found even more infuriating this year is that show seems to be encouraging this more and more - constantly using edits where Hrvy is baffled by a particular dance or move, Ian Waite on ITT this week saying how he was a novice two months ago (!), and every Friday panel guest saying 'he doesn't know how good he is!'

And then he gets a fairly easy ride with the judges most weeks, or compared to how they critique Maisie anyway

Karim did get some flak and some found him annoying but I agree that there was a double standard.

I’ll throw this point out there and please don’t hate me for it. I wonder if some give male ringers an easier ride because less men dance and there is a societal stigma against men dancing? Most women have taken a few dance classes in some form at some point in their lives. Maybe they’re impressed at the likes of Karim & HRVY breaking barriers and going against societal expectations?

I totally get this. I think its all the bullshit the celebs do pretending they've never danced before. Just own it.

Yeah, the double standard this year has been shocking! Anyone with two eyes can see Hrvy isn't a "novice", I've found his whole "baffled" act really irritating! He's been massively over scored aswell!

I like that Maisie hasn't hidden her talent, and her confidence is really inspiring, she's only 19!! and yet the judges have been really harsh and constantly under score her!

Yea it’s ridiculous like when Claudia said last week “do you know what a rumba is?” Or similar 🙄

I think they're desperately trying to manipulate Janette a win like they did with Kevin

Just watch for the wide eyed I can't believe i did that act tonight. He's just a complete fraud and I hope he goes tonight. Would love to see Jamie in the final

Yes, I did wonder this too - whether it's more about getting Janette to the final than anything else. Fair play to her, she's done well this year. Just a shame about all the Hrvy 'novice' BS that's come with it

Yeah, they're definitely setting her up for a final at least! I'm convinced more and more this will be her last year!
She has done really well this year!

Yea they really were! They didn’t really put a foot wrong did they? Shame for Gorka the public couldn’t warm to her!
They did not! She was amazing, it was a shame she never endeared the public!

I'm always massively impressed with Gorka's choreography, his dances are always very technical and beautiful to watch! Can't help but feel he's a bit underappreciated too!

No secret that I think Gorka is great. He does have plenty of personality, it’s just not in your face or annoying like certain others. First class choreo.

He’s the male pro I’d like to see win next as he’s had the good and the bad over the years and has managed to excel as a pro with totally different types of celebs.
