Is it just me who dislikes street as a dance choice? Not sure what it is just not a fan of it. Also for me bill, ranvir or Jamie should win! Yeah the other two are good but I prefer seeing a journey instead of someone whose good all the way through, my votes are going to them!

Really looking forward to seeing Maisie’s dances this week. Think she will be great at both. Also really hope she’s not in the dance off again, she deserves to be in the final so will get all my votes ☺

I think it’s Jamie’s time to go, he’s improved massively from the start but isn’t as good as theothers

Bit late to the convo, but thank heavens JJ has gone. Not before time. Their oscar winning speeches were cringe and I found him to be quite arrogant rather than the unassuming guy he supposedly was. My jaw dropped when he called his Charleston "amazing" ... no son, it was mediocre. I know he has injuries, God knows we heard abouut them enough, but I'd not heard they would affect his hips, but yet his hips were stiff in every dance he did. I'd say he was gifted the dances that avoided him making use of his hips or pelvic area and I'd have been interested in seeing the judges put a positive spin on a stiff hipped samba.

Motsi needs replaced, she doesn't half waffle and it's rarely about technique. I think Shirley has had a bellyful of Motsi anyway. When the judges had to choose after the dance off Motsi waffled then chose to save JJ, saying that Jamie had made a mistake in his dance so she HAD to choose JJ to stay. When Shirley was left with the final decision she gave Motsi the stink eye and said "They BOTH made mistakes!" before opting to keep Jamie in. She was clearly letting Motsi know she knew she was bull shitting. No love lost there.

Agree, Motsi is so annoying and is inconsistent with her scoring, she always favours people and marks them up

I think Jamie is off this week but I’d rather he wasn’t. That said I like all the final five so not too fussed. I don’t think Ranvir has been quite as good as has been made out.
Agree, she’s got a lovely frame so is great at ballroom but I haven’t been impressed with anything else. I feel they are favouring her with the dances they give her. Eg a Viennese waltz and waltz 2 weeks on the trott? I can’t see her jive being as good as some of the others.

I checked out of this series a few weeks ago, it hasn't held my interest at all. If I had to pick a favourite it would be Jamie, but three dance--offs suggests that he will be out this week. Hrvy and Maisie are very good, but they have been since the start, and I prefer to see some progression, but I find the designated 'journey' contestant this year dull. I like Bill, but he peaked a few weeks ago and has been overhyped. So in conclusion, I don't want any of them to win :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of the good old Strictly days, the first episode is on YouTube:

Wow how young do the judges look! (and weird, sat right next to each other!). Even Len looks young back then!

Had forgotten that Tess had been with it since the start.

I guess they re-arranged and re-recorded the theme tune at some point. It's the same tune back then but the version they use now is so much brighter and punchier than that recording.

Tess seems so much less wooden here, probably down to the fact that she's paired with even more wooden Bruce and not Claudia. Also really like that they introduce the pros properly (even though they're extremely cringey, for lack of a better word).
