Southport Attacks and Aftermath #5

1
Alpologies all, I did respond by posting on this thread, as it was a reported stabbing. In shock and for some discussion, I carried on posting here.
I think it would be more relevant in the real crime thread now we how more information on Solingen tragedy.
Don't wish to police but we'll end up discussing a lot of cross thread points and hopefully this thread can be for the Southport attack and any legal/victim updates.

Okay, usual Lars sarcasm has resumed 😉
Yeah , there won’t be anything to post here regarding Southport until the trial .

Meanwhile in France.

He’s already been posted on Twitter.

I'd put good money on the fact the Southport attacker wasn't part of an ~ISIS cell on the move across Europe~

But that's just me.
There’s more terror threats than ISIS

Givin the gov are putting us at risk it’s not surprising people are becoming more wary.

But surely you see the major flaw in your logic?

You vote for whoever and whatever is closest to what you believe.

Which of course says a lot about Reform Party voters.
She isn’t a Reform Voter. NI is part of the UK but our parties are split along Unionist/Nationalist and not everyone who believes in the above two stances will agree with party stances on the other issues so although I probably disagree on border issues and some things with @monga I can see why she is disillusioned with the options in her area. I don’t think it is because she can’t be arsed at all it is because she probably feels her vote is worthless or would give whatever party free reign to implement other policies off the back of it. I spoiled my ballot as I couldn’t choose between DUP and Alliance but still wanted to vote but I can understand why others in other areas feel voiceless.

I think a lot of people probably agree with some of reforms policiesthe main listed below. Can’t see any that I am strongly against. Think what you want about me 🤷🏽‍♀️😂
  • freeze non essential immigration
  • Increase tax thresholds on small businesses
  • Increase tax on multinational corps
  • Scrap net zero
  • Ban trans ideology in schools
  • Tax relief on school fees
  • Scrap HS2
  • Raise stamp duty threshold
  • Leave ECHR
  • Scrap license fee

I agree with two of those. But I have a strong suspicion that it's not for the reasons Reform voters do (based entirely on the rest of them).

Not that any of them would have changed the outcome in the Southport attacks

To get a little back on topic Leanne (the Southport yoga teacher) is back out of hospital again after having to go back in for further treatment/operations. Hopefully she can properly begin to recover again now.

Another little girl involved is starting a gofundme/charity thing the Luna Rose Foundation to give back to critical care teams that saved her life.

It is good to learn Leanne is getting well, it will be a long journey.
I keep thinking of the girls going back to school and those that sadly won't be. Siblings who will have their order in the family group changed and bedrooms no longer shared 💔

It’s awful to think about that stuff. Teachers don’t get enough credit with how they navigate grief and support children

I can't imagine how much care the families and community in Southport will need. I am glad there has been intensive research into what worked previously for other tragedies, it is so sad that all these tragedies happened at all.
I hope each person impacted heals and the community can work together to display the strength needed for facing a trial etc ❤️

It is nice to see Kate feeling better and both her and William visiting Southport.
Hope the families they visit that are navigating their journey through loss are offered some comfort by this visit ❤️
