Sofie Hagen #2 For someone who’s supposed to be a comedian, she’s really not very funny

I can't get my head round this with Sofie at all. I get why misgendering is hurtful/why people might want certain pronouns to be used....but if it doesn't harm you (which I'm assuming it doesn't for Sofie, unless I'm misunderstanding, as any and all pronouns seem to be fine) why even make a song and dance about your pronouns at all??

It's cos she's terminally grumpy and loves an online huff! Just set up an impossible set of lexical booby traps for your fans to trip over, and you have endless opportunities to testily correct them in public. What a sad little life Jane :ROFLMAO:

I’ve just watched the airplane video 🤣 It did make me chuckle!! Looked like a blast, I would’ve loved it and I’m sure Sofie did too. Obviously we need ‘socialism in the sky’ or Sofie’s brand of socialism which includes pedigree dogs, expensive Donald Stanley outfits and lots of luxury skin care products. I see Meghan Jayne Crabbe in the comments spouting off about the guilt of it all. What is wrong with these holier than thou nitwits? Do duck off and get outside of your own bleeping head.

They (plural they 🤣 as in sofie and Megan) feel guilty for this stuff because they have a go at other people for the same thing. Most people would just be excited but they can’t let themselves just enjoy it because they know it’s hupocritical. I hate that Sofie called herself ‘scum’ as well. She’s a published writer and successful stand up comedian with a decent online platform that does podcasts she’s exactly the kind of person you expect to be on a business class flight. There’s nothing wrong with any of these things btw but in the same way jack monroe tries to pretend she’s two bowls of slop away from being homeless she seems so blind to how absolutely brilliant her life is and the cool opportunity’s she’s had that most people don’t get. Why do they have to try and pretend that they are somehow ‘scum’ when they are part of the media class? It’s like they romanticise what it’s like to struggle. Is it because they might not qualify for the oppression olympics anymore?

exactly, the jack munroe comparison is perfect. There are things that should be equal for everyone, healthcare, education etc, going on holiday by plane is not one of them, I am left wing but flying is not a human right, if you can pay for bigger seats and champagne or whatever I don't care, why on earth should "first class be for everyone" or however she put it. If I was her/they/he (whatever pronouns I should be using now) I would be emphasising how lucky I was, how amazing it is to have this opportunity, instead it is always cloaked in negativity and bitterness. I wonder how whoever paid for her flights feels about this, probably thinking they should pay economy next time

Who are these people who have to comment on every.single.risk. It's a frozen water bottle, Stephanie, not dipping your tits in a blast chiller.

Also, if you burn yourself on a bit of ice because you didn't wrap it in a tea towel. Good. Somehow you missed this life lesson as a 5 year old. Here's your chance to catch up.

(I don't know why this account and its followers turn me into Piers Morgan. I should probably explore my own issues 😂)

I just came across her business class flight reel on the explore page, she really is totally insufferable isn't she. The most privileged western woman there was but decides to adopt every pronoun possible and act like her fatness marginalises her in order to position herself as a victim and make people donate money.
I would say charlatans like this need to be exposed, but it's all there for people to see yet sheep still blindly follow her like she's a social justice icon for the downtrodden.

Has anyone seen her piece in the Guardian today about climate change being 'boring' but important? I used to love the Graun but the editorial standards have slipped so dramatically (e.g. continuing to publish whatever tit Jack Monroe wants to whinge about on any given week. Why is Sofie well-qualified to write this, rather than say, an actual climate expert?!

Ugh I'm all for body positivity but it's so depressing that she can't lift a suitcase up a few stairs.
And the response! Like, it was obviously just a suggestion for life in general...and a very reasonable one. Not telling her to lose a pound! Strength training is good for everyone.

Agreed, I think body positivity is great (and I say this as someone who is now obese, duck you pandemic, and has suffered from eating disorders for ages) but there comes a point when you can't do basic things where it is not enough to be "positive" about how you look, looks are not important, it is how your body functions at the end of the day

She has slim legs. I always wonder at people shaped like this. My fat distributes all over - not sure which is better 🤣

She’s pretty and she’s got a good pair of legs on her!! She’s still insufferable though 🤣 Covid put paid to my twice weekly swimming habit and I gained a good stone. I’m still looking for my motivation and am yet to find it, but I do wonder does it feel uncomfortable to have such a big stomach? I don’t mean any shade but I think does she feel unfit, knackered, out of breath? Or perhaps you adjust and you are used to it?

I feel like it must be. I had a baby in May and having a bump was such a chore. Not being able to bend down to shave my legs, not being able to reach the kitchen sink, all very irritating.
