Sofie Hagen #2 For someone who’s supposed to be a comedian, she’s really not very funny

Hank's a pedigree dog that cost her hundreds to buy as a puppy too right? I literally don't understand how she can sustain her levels of spending with no rich family unless she's absolutely drowning in debt.

I also seem to recall her posting some stories a couple of months back about budgeting tips :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Maybe that's why she spends hours a day 'dissociating' (ugh) on the sofa - I would be absolutely poleaxed with anxiety in that situation!
 
My eyes were popping at that Mac studio too. They’re so expensive for the base and the monitor together that my work can’t afford to replace any dead macs with them (as they’re not doing the 27” ones anymore) and that’s a design led business too. We’ve resorted to giving people a MacBook with non Apple monitor. They come to at least £3,500 just for the base model and monitor, plus add another £300 for the keyboard and mouse. And I bet she didn’t buy the basic one.
 
There we go, lots of debt like we thought!

Haven’t been on this thread in ages but came to post this screenshot!

I’m always so perplexed when these self employed remote/low hours-for-their-income workers end up in this situation? A more extreme version is Jack Monroe. Like you both have the privilege of not needing to be anywhere central or even in London at all, you could go move to a low cost of living area and make the rare trip in for meetings etc. You’ve got the luxury of a LOT of free time to shop around, prep food/bulk cook, not needing cleaners/more costly food boxes/food in the office/etc etc. Like when you have the privilege of time and a reasonable income to end up in debt is INSANITY! She should be able to put a huge deposit down on something easily but she’s clearly actually dumb?

Sofie seems to cook in bulk, but then eats it all in one go 😜 I think she is in one of the further zones, but you're right that she doesn't need to be in London at all. She rarely goes out and does anything anyway! I wonder if she sold the peloton though, her flat isn't big and I haven't seen it in any pics recently.

Oh and similarly to good old Jack, bought a designer puppy when she had no money...

I just find the whole thing so, so mental. Like I’m not saying if you rent you can’t have nice things but if owning is a financial goal (which if she’s regularly looking thru rightmove we can assume it is?) then you just can’t moan when you’ve made a series of financial decisions that have taken you away from that.

She’s also another one in an industry that benefits from occasional windfall payments alongside regular income, something that should make saving for a deposit incredibly easy!
 
Everything is done carelessly. Did she even try to ask the bank what are her possibilities? Maybe she could go out of the debts quite easily if she does it seriously.
Next time, she will say they don't give her a loan because they are fatphobic lol

I was wondering that! I know she's being sarcastic and attempting to mock herself a little but that video really rubbed me the wrong way. Yeah, someone else may have paid for it but that doesn't make it relatable? A lot of people can't even begin to imagine affording the economy flight right now and don't have the social capital to get anything paid for them by someone else. Just be grateful and enjoy your flight without trying to make satirical content ffs

I was going to post the same earlier. I know she was trying to be funny, but it just really missed the mark . I'm assuming the producers of her documentary paid, but I bet she said she wasn't going to go there unless they put her in business class.
 
Her story on insta about about being annoyed when ‘non comedians’ have the audacity to tell her their joke ideas but then she emailed her favourite only fans creator to tell them a good idea for porn because she thinks she would be really good at writing porn. Arghh she is so smug and hypocritical all of the time!!! Please tell me it’s not just me that gets annoyed by this kind of stuff.
 
Also on the flight thing, if she really is so anti-business class she could have asked to be downgraded 😂 There is no need to put an angle on it to justify why you're flying business class e.g. by saying I'm only flying business so I can show you what it's like. Everyone knows you get a bigger, nicer seat...it's not news. She's not performing a public service - shes getting a privilege. Shes in this ridiculous pattern of critcising everything privileged that happens to her so she doesnt feel guilty about being privileged and people cant get mad at her. You got something fancy for free. Just enjoy it and shut up about it. Or, if you genuinely hate it, just turn it down.
 
She kills me. Professes that her politics are VERY LEFT. Yet she’s as capitalist as the rest of us (and I say that as someone who’s voted labour mostly my whole life other than the odd Lib Dem/green excursion 😅). She loves her Amazon, flying business class, buying a pedigree dog rather than adopting etc. I shop from Amazon. In fact I love shopping. But stop saying your politics are extremely left as if you’re a borderline communist. Sofie is sometimes quite funny. But she’s also immature, infuriating and hypocritical.
