Always get the impression you know a lot more than you're saying about how dodgy Harris is......
It's just a matter of following the breadcrumbs and figuring it out... but yes, just like a lot of people from Essex who know of him. I was suspicious from the get go. It's good that other people are putting the pieces together and I am confident that it won't be too long before it breaks out into the wider conciousness and at that point, the politicians and the authorities will begin to act. And if he is reading this, (Simon), you are pretend to be on the left, you don't have the friends in the right places (other than the ones that you grifted with) and once the cogs start to turn they will really go after you...
---
D'you reckon he shares it onto his page to try and drive up traffic (and therefore convince Suffolk council they haven't just dropped tens of thousands of pounds down a black hole)
100% correct - part of the strategy is to sidestep the council's conventional marketing function - who will have an understanding of social media metrics and then bamboozle gullible officials. Of course, in Essex, the "official" was also in on the grift. remember seeing one bit of bullshit uttered during the pandemic that said that in Essex, they were reaching 5 million people per month (which is three times the population)

oh he loves some creative counting when it comes to bragging about his social media credentials.

Whenever he needs to boast about how many followers he has, he’ll go through all of his facebook pages individually, then his Twitter accounts, his Instagram, his bebo, his MySpace etc etc, add up the follower numbers on each, and come up with a grand total. So all of his extremist weirdo fans who follow multiple stupid Harris outlets, get counted about 40 times each.

Hope you're all sitting down ... we've got a completely original joke

Whenever I get those “You have memories to look back on today” notifications on facebook, I always brace myself as I’m about to read something cringey I wrote years ago.

For Simon, those notifications are a great source of fresh content.

Here’s the DFS sale rib-tickler back in 2017. Who tells the same jokes over and over for at least 6 years? He’s definitely got a few screws loose.

This makes sense; if the council has a fully functional marketing and comms arm (which, I imagine, they do), it is baffling to me how this would have passed the first step of "do we need to outsource this or can we inhouse it better" (make or buy analysis).

Another full-time social media officer would have been better value per financial year. A Gen Z with a premium Canva subscription could make better graphics.

And now basically the same content is getting recycled to another council, who are also paying. What a grift.

Hopefully, if Grifty McGrifters dodgy grifting finally catches up with him, the stress of being held accountable for being as dodgy as a 9-bob-note, will catapult him back to secretly stuffing 3 king-sized mars bars down his gullet every afternoon. That’s my prediction/dream scenario, anyway.

There are many chickens that need to come home to roost for this charlatan. And not of the Kentucky fried variety.

P.s. things have gone awfully quiet on the subject of baby formula, has anyone noticed? Nothing more than a couple of casual mentions of £250 microgrants in over a fortnight.

He’s moving on from it and everyone will conveniently forget that he’s only accounted for about 50% of the money raised.

Come and ask me though, not them. Who's "we", Simon, if it's you and not the charity?bleeping grifter.

Similar questions need to be asked about his previous GFM campaigns - the charities he says the money has gone to for those, will over time publish there accounts. I suspect atleast some has gone to the charity, but I don't see GFM having a mechanism for checking (or even caring) if the whole has gone. But, you know Simon, the internet keeps receipts.....

Based on the last (only) update of where the money has gone, and the fundraising total as of this morning - there is £24k unaccounted for

(and just for forensicness - if this had been done through the charity option of GFM (so therefore GFM taking a smaller cut), there would be an extra £811.37 in the donation pot)
