I think it because deep down they knew Debbie and Natasha were better, more genuine people than they ever could be! I don’t mind Carrie so much but I just cannot stand Miranda!

Tbh Charlotte’s lifestyle post divorce just really annoyed me, sponges off her ex husband and no interest in working again.

Also remarries Harry and stays in the same apartment, wouldn’t you move to somewhere that was just for you two? But no they will have stayed because of the prestige of the address

Did carrie work in the films? I remember she quit her column when she moved to Paris, did she ever work again? funny how the show is/was considered feminist where 2 of the main characters leave their jobs for men

Yeah in the first film they show she’s written several more books, I think.

It was actually more realistic that she’d be a best-selling author and afford her lifestyle than a weekly columnist in a tabloid paper!!
 
I think all 4 of them were horrible people tbh but I think the least crappy one was Samantha. At least she didn't take life too seriously, was usually a very supportive friend and apart from cheating on Smith I can't remember her doing anything tooooo awful. Whereas Carrie was ridiculously selfish and self-absorbed, Miranda extremely negative and judgemental 24/7 and Charlotte was an entitled, shallow spoilt brat.

I think Samantha was the most secure in herself out of all of them!

I think for women who are meant to be very modern all of them bar Samantha were right prudes! I think I’ve said up thread but they were soo squeamish about fetishes! It was all about wham bam thankyou ma’am 😅

but weirdly prudish, but then still slept around a lot? like even charlotte had sex with lots of people despite being very judgemental and prudish, story lines like her refusing to do anal was shown as if she was so prudish but most women I know do not do it, pretty normal

Exactly! And having sex with that Jewish artist in one of the early series! For someone who was a WASP I didn’t feel her behaviour reflected the image she tried to maintain!

She was judgmental and prudish but she was the only one who didn’t think it was a big deal to rim a man!! Even Samantha didn’t want to give, only receive in that aspect 😂
 
Oh man SJP gets a rough time in here. 😬 I haven't done much of a Google on the situation but does no one think it's interesting that Kim appears to be on her own with this, while SJP has a lot of support? If she is really awful why are the other two still involved? Or perhaps they are all 3 as bad, but then it's unfair that it's SJP who takes all the blame? 🤷‍♀️

Or are the others too scared to say anything because SJP was a producer?
 
Satc was on today, the one where Charlotte marries Trey. Carrie is a melt . Confesses to samantha about sleeping with big, whines about how she'll end it, sleeps with big. Meets miranda for a drink, confesses, promises she'll end it after a bollocking from miranda, sleeps with big. Gets caught by Charlotte, Charlotte is disgusted with her, carrie insists she's not the other woman, feels terrible, sleeps with big. Only when natasha catches her eating out of her fridge and runs out the door does it finally end. What a evil witch.
 
I’m currently rewatching the series and was so uncomfortable watching when Carrie goes to the opening of Steve’s bar and sees Aidan. He is not interested in getting back with her yet she’s begging him. It’s so bum clenchingly bad to see her go back to his apartment and throw stone’s at his window. He’s still so bitter and angry about her cheating.
