Because they're both awfully selfish characters who's lives revolve around themselves - I always imaged Charlotte's kids would be treated as an accessory rather than a human being.
Charlotte treats everything as an accessory, her friends, her husband and her kids. Even on her and Treys wedding day she had to make sure everyone know it was HER day. If it isn’t picture perfect she spirals.

Are we getting a series two? Maybe it will be announced after the finale?

Why is no one calling out how disgustingly selfish Miranda's behaviour is! And there is zero guilt from her which makes it even worse! Also are we really meant to be routing for her and Che, because i don't think a single viewer is. Just an incredibly awful storyline altogether.
She seems to have faced zero consequences. In the first film, Carrie yelled at her for dumping Steve, after *he* cheated on her! Now, the most we get is a mildly surly comment from Brady. All her friends are just complacently accepting and her husband could not be more accommodating.

On the reuse of actors - this is reasonably common in East Coast US shows. And it happened in the original series. Most memorably, Justin Theroux played two different characters

'You can't just be the white lady that writes a cheque'

What's this? I'm white, am I not allowed to donate to charity anymore? And if not, why not? I'm so confused
I think the thinking behind this is it's lazier than showing up and putting some graft in; it's an easy option for a rich person. In reality, while that line of thinking might have some truth for things like protest and campaigns, the average charity can make much better use of cold hard cash compared to having to manage an untrained, one-day volunteer.

It set up a decent line for Seema at least.

Only celebrated because it is a gay relationship - if she had left Shteve for a man nobody would be on side in these circumstances.

It would be easier to support her if we knew she'd struggled with her sexuality in the past, but this has literally come from nothing and all seems to be about the god awful Che bleeping Diaz. And on the latter, do they have short term memory loss from all the cool weed that they smoke? They (Che) are always like 'spacing'. Might want to cut back head

If her lecturer had turned out to be gay that would have been a more believable relationship

Me when yall realise Miranda is the witch I always said she was on here

It’s far from perfect. No Sam, Miranda’s character change. Sometimes wooden scripts! But, I am still enjoying it, and enjoying something focused on women in their mid 50s, that is about them, and not just entirely about their kids. So I am hoping for another series. Doubtful though.

That's what's even more annoying. Basically when you hit 40 society and the media think you're dead. There is a real need for this type of show and a follow up to sex and the city makes perfect sense to fill that gap. There won't be a show like this again as they'll blame the age of the women and not the fact it's poorly researched and written

Seema is our Samantha-Lite I think. I like her, she cheers the show up and her exchange with hot nightclub guy in sports car was more in keeping with the SATC we know and love.
Seema is actually likeable and interesting and brings a touch of Samantha’s lightness which this show desperately lacks. The only bone I have to pick with her is no way would a person that into fashion ever light up in a room full of Carrie’s couture!

Although Carrie does smoke when she’s with her so maybe just assumed that it was ok and not that Carrie walks the streets looking like Dot Cotton when she smokes

Also carrie smokes and smoked for years in couture and high fashion, so it didn’t make sense, I just think it was because Carrie didn’t want to the flat to smell of smoke as it would make her want to smoke more than her one a day

I'm still scratching my head when I'm watching i can't decide whether I love it or hate it. I see glimpses of the old SATC and god the nostalgia hits hard , then a few mins later I'm cringing behind a cushion or fast forwarding whole sections. I do love Seema though and have to agree that Miranda seems to have lost the plot also.

Also am I the only one that is completely distracted by Charlotte's heaving bosom?! Where did those bad boys spring from !
