And to think they were probably giving high 5's "nailed it" to each other when writing then filming this 😆

A question for the people that loved the first two episodes, are you still loving it?
Yes, I’m still enjoying it. Last episode a bit slow but the clothes were amazing.
I’m still waiting for Susan Sharon to return tho!

It was the Friday morning at 10am and the dinner party was the Thursday, assuming he’d need to fast for it (idk I’ve never had one but imagine they want it… fresh?). I didn’t mind that bit as it felt v Charlotte, the mum friend is a bit odd tho
You'd usually fast from midnight onwards but the food you can eat is very limited, the major issue wouldn't be the food though it would be the prep beforehand... They give you an obscene amount of laxatives to flush you out, and it does 😂 nobody wants to hear or smell that at a dinner party, it's bad enough during the procedure 😂😂

I’m really enjoying it! I actually look forward to watching it on each week. I have some issues, like how much they changed Stanford’s personality, Samantha is a miss and I’m finding Charlotte hard to watch, and they are definitely trying to hard to include every issue in every episode. It’s a shame they didn’t do this better because it could have been great! I like what people have said about having people star in individual issues to being up themes or topics that the girls discuss. But overall, I’m loving it!

Edit to add that I agree that make them seem like they have lived under a rock too.

Yeah, we get it. They’re all OLD. By the end of the season, Carrie will be zooming round New York on a blinged up mobility scooter, Steve will have one of those ear trumpets, Miranda will have to get a kindle so she can enlarge the print in her textbooks and Charlotte still won’t be able to move her face.

And none of the scriptwriters have actually watched the original SATC which is why all they characters have had personality transplants.
Ear trumpet 😂😂😂😂

I just watched episode 4 and wanted to add my 10 cents. Charlotte storyline annoyed the hell out of me. Cancelling her husbands medical appointment to go to a dinner party and making a big old fuss over not having enough ethic friends. Give me a break...

Apart from that though, this was actually my favourite episode so far. I loved Carrie's new friend Seema and especially loved the very last scene where we actually see Carrie lose control a bit over the death of Big and react to a photo smashing. This was nicely done and I also like Seema showing vulnerability over Carrie's comment about still being single. I liked this scene a lot.

The Stanford absence was done as well as I think it could be done given Willie's passing. They had to work with what they had and I don't think anything would have been realistic apart from having the character die which would be unrealistic after Big and not to mention in bad taste.

I think they should have put in more beforehand about stanfords relationship issues, coming from 0like this makes no sense, every other issue has been heavy handedly shown, why was this just thrown in with no warning? It could have easily be done retroactivky ie Anthony complaining to charlotte about issues etc

I think they did show their relationship issues: they were arguing a lot, they sat apart at Lily's recital, Stanford stayed over at Carrie's old apartment, there was tension between them at Big's funeral etc.

I think they probably did the best they could given the circumstances.

Am I the only one who isn’t frothing Seema, or the ridiculous scene at the end?! Lady, you’re selling a house. Why the hell are you having a deep and meaningful? It seemed bizarre to me, if I had a realtor doing this tit I’d be finding someone else 😂

Haha I see what you mean, but let's face it the programme is hardly realistic. I liked it the last scene as it showed Carrie finally reacting to Bigs death rather than acting like a statue these past few weeks. Also I thought the character of Seema was fun.

Apart from the first series, I don't think it's ever really tried to be that realistic though. Much like friends who rarely seem to work and spend hours in the coffee house together. 🤷🏼‍♀️
