There was also that incident with Lynne Perrie (of Coronation Street) back in the 90’s on some late night show where she grabbed some man’s bits. (In fact I think it was even worse than that). And there was a time on Celeb BB where they sent in some scantily clad male waiters to “entertain” the female inmates, and they got a bit handsy. All rather grim. It made me realise that male strippers at hen parties can have a really horrible time if the ladies get rowdy and start egging each other on.
I don’t think these incidents were laughed off exactly but they were still shown on TV as I saw them both. So I don’t think they were taken as seriously as they would have been if the sexes were reversed.

It was on the Word. She sucked a guy off. That programme was wild, I remember the episode when the band L7 all performed with their muffs on display.

re- Gino Di Wanko - never been so thrilled at someone's downfall. He is an abhorrent, talentless, misogynist, sleazy, midget burgling piece of tit whose idea of cooking is boiling big pans of pasta and gesticulating wildly about 'eet is justa lika my Mother useda to makea'.......

I think Gordon has a reputation to protect - he's not a very nice man, who allegedly cheats on his wife but he's not a thieving druggie who pretends to be something he isn't.
The cheating allegations I'm aware of, though have seen nothing to substantiate those claims. What do you mean about him "not being a very nice man" - how so?

I have a couple of mutual ties with Ramsey, I've never heard a bad word said about him from those mutual connections, and they're via different avenues.

OMG, really?? I used to love the word back in the day. I was thinking of it recently " I'll do anything to be famous" , remember that? That really was the beginning of reality TV! Snogging a granny, drinking vomit etc 🤮

Yep, it was groundbreaking and genius and also absolutely terrible all the time. Used to love watching when off my tits after a trip to the pub back in the day...

I thought it was on something like Television X or some other late night adult show. With a stripper in see through pants and he stood there knowing he would be grabbed by Lynne Perrie and she pretended to put it in her mouth. It was hardly an unsolicited grab where it was unexpected and he was taken by surprise as implied by the other poster

The only problem with those is they are chefs. The whole point of Gregg was to be more of an 'everyman' judge to balance out the pros and slight snobbishness.

If they went the critic route then Jimi Famurewa could be good. He has a firm but fair and kind manner to him

Nigella is a food writer. She hates being called a chef as she has never had any training that way.

Oh I'm only going off his TV persona, where he's rude and condescending to contestants. He's probably lovely in real life.

She had form

I’ve said this before on here somewhere - but when Gino was on I’m a Celeb, he and another camp mate killed one of the (tame) rats they have on set and ate it. The Australian authorities were looking into animal cruelty charges and it was swiftly covered up. I remember because I had seen headlines online very late at night when this news broke, including in the Australian press, which had completely disappeared by the morning. I think he went on to win that series. ITV will bend over backwards to get the result they want when they have someone lined up for TV projects.

I think he fell out with Gordon Ramsey over that incident where Gino had brought cannabis onto a flight in his luggage - I believe it was a private flight organised by Ramsey, so Ramsey himself could have got into a lot of trouble over that, which would piss anyone off.

Anyway, I’ve never been able to stand him or his fake “comedy Italian” act. Burgling someone’s house is not something you can write off as a youthful mistake IMO, it takes a special breed of scumbag to do that.

However I did think he’d already effectively been ditched from ITV - weren’t there some reports a year or two ago about his sleazy behaviour?
That's horrible!

My original degree course was supposed to be a joint one with psychology, and I dropped the "joint" bit when I learned that I would be expected to (under lab conditions) observe two rats, One I had to feed and otherwise pretty much igmore - the other was to.be stimulated mentally and played with as much as possible. At the end of X months, I would be expected to kill them and compare their brain development.

Nonononnonononononononononono! Not this little drunk mouse! I knew that by then I would love them both.

I dropped the psychology modules.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him interacting with children on a kid's cooking programme. He was lovely with them - really encouraging, and gave both praise and constructive criticism. He surprised me. I didn't expect him to be a sweary bully with them, but he was much nicer than I thought.
