Sali was asking on IG if people wanted to see her 6 minute makeup application to get that look I mean why?
She just looks very sweaty with a bit of eyeshadow.

Woah her skin looks like shiny putty there. For about 10 years I've been expecting that one day she'd look back and wonder why on earth she'd thought 'glowy' was a good look - the way people look back with horror at their overplucked eyebrows and frizzy perms.
On the YouTube Q&A with CH, she's still advising older women to use makeup products that give a 'glow' when it just seems to highlight every wrinkle and unevenness.

And her eye makeup is bloody awful - 6 minutes or not.
I don't really understand why she'd turn up at an interview - radio or TV - with absolutely no makeup on and clearly unwashed hair.
I'd have thought there'd be someone hovering with a powder puff. Wouldn't be surprised if SH thought she knew better than the professional. Can’t believe the bbc makeup artist wouldn’t lend her a pan stick and a lippy. Anyway I’m sure she was glad to dispense some rules and wisdom regarding acids.
Hover they may. Yet she will brook no mattifying!I'd have thought there'd be someone hovering with a powder puff. Wouldn't be surprised if SH thought she knew better than the professional.
And I'm sorry but children/teens will not be listening to or watching Sali. She's far too old and establishment.Just watched it. She talked about how it was her job to stop disinformation for kids. “Part of my job is stepping in (and telling kids) “no no no, this is absolutely not correct””.
The interviewer then talks about how she might be a lone wolf because she’s the only honest voice in the industry!! Such nonsense. Has she ever even talked about kids/teen skincare?!
I also noticed that she was introduced as journalist (FIRST AND FOREMOST) and beauty expert. Definitely NOT a beauty journalist ok?
Exactly. It’s so depressing how easily that myth sticks. I know we’ve compared her and jack monroe here before but it’s so similar. And so lazy of the ‘real’ journalists to accept it at face value! And I'm sorry but children/teens will not be listening to or watching Sali. She's far too old and establishment.
And this myth Sali has built up around herself that she is 'honest' is fascinating. She only reviews products she likes and certainly never challenges anything or rocks the boat.

I blame that bloody Tilbury woman for that trend.Don't get this shiny obsession. It doesn't look glowy. Just sweaty and greasy.
