Indeed she shall. As long as it’s in shades of cobalt blue (even though she rarely has cause to wear it because she dresses in neutrals) and THE BEST COLOUR IN THE WORLD quietly rebellious navy (for the ultra-feminine and tomboys alike)

Assuming the BBC has the right lens* in its camera, is it reasonable to assume that she has chosen to use a focal length that slims/elongates? Might not be considered a filter but certainly an intentional distortion?

* I.e. a lens with a focal length that records what's in front of it in a way that's true to life.

Well, they all record true to life, depending on how close or far away you are. A tv camera is a “normalised” focal depth we are used to; they also have industrial lights and make-up. Certain foreign news channels I watch manage to make their newsreaders practically 2-d. And now influencers have a normalised look - egg head, pointy chin.

By 'true to life' I mean as would be seen by the naked eye at the same distance. I don't think lights and make-up would elongate or compress - although, as seen in her Instagram videos, lighting alters other aspects of the image.

Funniest thing about the Erborian video is towards the end when she says she's going to add only 'minimal' make-up because she'll be putting on more make-up later for an event. Over the CC cream and tinted eye cream she then adds: bronzer (all over), blusher, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, brow gel, lip color, lip pencil. Unsurprisingly it doesn't look at all minimal.
