Considering Ruby is the first person on the guest rota, I'm guessing their shared management had a big hand in getting Jade to start her podcast and it'll be just another flimsy marketing platform for other Sixteenth influencers who're fading from relevance. It'll unceremoniously die after a handful of episodes like their godawful Wooden Spoon podcast.

Ruby also fucked up by releasing a video two weeks ago about romanticising her life, so she's already burned through all her material considering that's (bizarrely) the subject of the whole podcast. I'm expecting an hour of self-indulgent waffling from Jade with Ruby waving her claw hand around, lip-smacking, umming and rambling incoherently.

Idk, like TheGossBoss92 said - if you look at her financial statements for last year as at March 2023 she had £300k sat in the bank, as well as 300k in reserves (up from 200k in 2022 which means she made profit of around £100k from her "business" from March 22 - March 23). Of course this all could have absolutely gone to tit in a year, but her accounts aren't due til December so can't confirm til they're filed in the next few months 🌝. And that's just business cash and expenses so presumably doesn't include her rental income which will probs be seperate personal investment income :D she spends a lot on holidays but I'd be impressed if she had blown through £300k pure cash and £300k of assets in 18 months

As another poster mentioned above her financial statements are public.

She’s a maximalist for tat - second hand books and charity shop trinkets. She does not buy the way the majority of influencers buy. She’s already in a surplus of thousands compared to them when you factor in their 4 figure rent. She spends like she’s got her first part time job.

She is obviously not maintaining the property herself (lol), of course they pay a cleaning service and/or property management. They are still in profit - if they weren’t, they simply wouldn’t have the property. She’s not paying ‘quite a bit’ to get around - where does she go? The odd London trip to the theatre or to see a family friend. People on 30k in London or whatever for the weekend would spend the same on taxi/tubes. And they don’t get to write them off as business expenses. Of course she has a management % fee and of course her sister would get a nominal sum for editing - but these are not shrinking her nest egg. If they were, she wouldn’t be doing it. She (by she I mean her parents) are not stupid when it comes to money. I agree with you she’s probably investing, but she should be. She’s not spending the money anyway so it’s better invested.

Where did you go to uni though, in the UK or somewhere else? And also, if you studied modern literature or a completely different period, then you probably wouldn't have come across Burns. Ruby has spent time in Scotland and likes to come across as this huge bookworm and academic genius, yet her knowledge is patchy at best.

”Lumos” and ”Nox” are the spells used to turn lights on and off in Harry Potter. Because she’s never going to grow out of her Harry Potter obsession, however cringe and problematic. It’s the breathless excitement for me though 😬😬😬 I’m just embarrassed for her if I’m honest. Just control yourself. Yes we all enjoy a set of glorified fairy lights but surely you have something else going on for you?

I think her withdrawing is equal parts:

A. She's clearly terrified of adulthood (not exactly surprising that the major topic of conversation with her therapist is apparently leaving childhood behind) so she pulled yet another gap year out of the hat to delay the real world as long as she could.

B. She didn't get the content mileage out of Oxford that she wanted. Considering that she only really wanted to go to Oxford so she could brag about it in videos and show off the DARK MACADAMIA environment, not having the time to make videos is a real problem. Like @slamvs27 mentions, 4 years of that in a row would really throw a wrench in her channel.

If the only scant content she can make at Oxford is her looking miserable while moping around LOIBREEES in poorly-shot videos at what's supposed to be JANUINELY her dream uni, it's not exactly appealing. Worse still for her, it curbs her ability to pretend to be doing 8 billion things a day, which is the ego-boosting smoke-and-mirrors tit she thrives on.

Contrast with this gap year, where she delightedly announces that she'll be juggling a 9-5 job, running a stationery company, making YEECHEEB VIDEEYOWWWS, various "PROJACKTS", her imaginary curriculum, writing, reading, etc. All fictional/wildly embellished, of course (she's still faking whole days of work as seen in her latest routine video) but it's the kind of "ANVY ME AS OIY DYEU MORE THAN YEU CAN!" fake productivity nonsense she can't go without for 4 years.

C. She clearly doesn't enjoy studying and actively avoids engaging with the learning process wherever possible, so studying at higher levels where she can't cheat as much or get Blakeney to do half the work really puts her through the ringer. She essentially admits as much in this video, but couches it with the usual "BOT OIY LOFF LAHRNING SYO VARRY MOCH AND AWSFWUD IS JANUINELY MOIY DREAM!" bull.

I'd give her credit for taking a gap year and focusing on growing up, getting some work experience and dipping her toe in the real world, but it doesn't seem like that's what she's doing. She'd have been far better off getting a real job with no ties to her old school or parents, something that might challenge her and not give her free rein to take as much time off as she wants.

Instead, she just went and got another "show up when you want" no-stakes, no-challenge nepo job at her old school again, where she can cosplay as a child in a school environment for yet another year. Just like her previous part-part-part-time classroom assistant's assistant's assistant role, it's not a real job, much as she seems to want to embellish it into one, and immersing herself in another childhood environment seems creepy and counter-productive.

And alongside that, she's just back to playing make-believe with fake school schedules and completely made-up accomplishments to brag about to gullible children while she slobs around her childhood bedroom for another year. This doesn't seen like smart decision-making or working on her mental health, it's just regression.

struggling with leaving childhood behind? is she not 23/24 years old? surely she should have left ‘childhood’ at least about 6 years ago… i should mention, i haven’t watched her content for years until she popped up on my recommended again

It is definitely cringe to watch a woman of 24, with a Masters from Oxford, regressing, yet again, to playing Harry Potter like a 5 year old. She is so utterly unbalanced that I question Blakeney wanting to spend any time with her at this point. I would do everything in my power to break away from her and her childish nonsense.
