I didn’t like Jen but I preferred her to the uncle. I thought the uncle was just trying to look good all the time.
giving away half(?) ye prize imo just to look good on tv, I’m sure the nephew could’ve used the money

tbf when I finished the series yesterday I looked him up and he still does a lot of stuff for charity. I really liked him as the series went on I think he was being genuine

The uncle and jen took some time to warm to but as it went on I liked them both.

Also, having her husband lose his hearing couldn't have been easy on her either. I've had family suddenly go disabled in similar way and it can be a testing time. Life changes overnight, must be even harder in a relationship.

I was sceptical about the motives behind the winners decision, but travelling changes you when you see things like that. It kind of shakes you into what matters so I give the benefit of the doubt there.

I disliked the female friendship pair from the first episode when they got lost in the public park for hours, now hearing about her husband’s health condition I am even more annoyed with the two of them taking up a place that could have been given to a more deserving (and likeable) couple. The producers clearly gave them the slot hoping that this weeks twist could happen too.

Her eye problem seems to come and go and the friend is the ultimate gaslighter with her constant ‘are you ok’.

With the exception of Monique and Ladi, this year’s contestants could all have been eliminated at the end of week 3 and I would have been perfectly happy, being back Jen (and that’s saying something)

I am sure there were more eliminations last year. The race bit is fairly pointless at the moment when they all have to catch the same bus. I wish there was more about Canada and less about the dynamics between the couples. Kev and Claudia could be anywhere and be equally tiresome. I like how Mobeen and his wife try to make friends along the way. But I feel sorry for the support crew having to spend weeks with the couples.

I find them both so irritating. I only saw a bit last night so no idea if they were still the same, but the constant crying and propping themselves up with pep talks is very dull television - 'you've got this. You're so amazing'
They were interviewed on Woman's Hour yesterday. No amazing revelations but apparently the contestants only knew where they were going when they got to the airport.
