This was on twitter explaining that odd bit where Ladi and Monique just magically turned up at the train station after being trapped on a minibus hiding from bears.
The editing has been so wierd at times this series.

Even the scenery is boring me now since we left the Rockies behind, the constant waiting for lifts or shelling out $$$ for buses/trains that everyone else is on is dull.

I know Covid has caused logistical issues but racing across one country has led to artificial legs being introduced to eke out the journey, causing an unnatural flow to the way they travel. In past series the contestants were able to choose entirely different countries to travel thro but this year they can’t even go by different roads it seems.

The only redeeming feature will be if Monique and Ladi win, the rest deserve to hitchhike home.
 
I only came across this programme recently when my brother told me about it because he knows how much I love Canada.

I loved the first few episodes (not knowing any different) so after episode 4 last week I decided to binge watch the first two series which I finished today and wow what a difference!! even the first episode of the first series I could see how much more interesting and challenging it would be with different route options, multiple currencies, language barriers etc.

And now I’ve just watched this week’s Canada episode and I agree with many of the things that have been said already. The teams are not as likeable and it’s really boring when they all repeatedly get the same transport (which isn’t really their fault).

I think even with the first two series the producers purposely pick the checkpoints to give teams a chance to catch up when the first team gets stuck waiting for the next onward travel. I think that’s ok to an extent otherwise you could very early on get a team so far ahead it would have a similar effect of it also no longer feeling like a race.

I feel like the balance was almost right in s1/s2 but this season it just feels like we are watching a coach trip. I actually preferred the ending of S1 where it was edited to look like it was neck and neck but it ended up being something like 4hrs difference. And I liked the team who won S1. I didn’t really like the end of S2 with 20 seconds difference and a ‘throw your bags down and run’ finish. it didn’t seem a very realistic time gap!
 
I’ve re watched both Series 1& 2. All the people in the first series were great characters even though I was disappointed in the winners.
Damn you cute elephants 🤣

Jen was in racing mode and to be fair I would probably be a pain in the arse if I had to race. ( Apart from the bag throwing tantrum)

There is no excitement of the race it’s a moan fest.
I might play whinge bingo next episode with shots!

Take a shot whenever Claudia says ‘my dad wasn’t there when I was growing up so …’ or along those lines
Take a tit whenever someone complains about having to wait for a lift share
 
It seems like my opinion of this series is similar to everybody else's! Series 2 was stand out for me. All the teams were likeable, I was really engrossed in it. I disliked Dom & Lizzie to start with but they grew on me and i was glad to see them finish the race not too far behind the winners. I am watching this one but typing on Tattle as it plays in the background! Canada looks amazing but this is very dull. Will watch until the end but not fussed who wins!

Ladi and Monique are the only normal ones. Monique has really grown up in a short time.

Mobeen is henpecked and has to manage his wife and her moods. Being hyper vigilant all the time to your spouse is a form of abuse. That might seem a stretch, but it means you can’t fully relax until they have fully relaxed. They set the mood. He needs to grow a pair and not pander to her.

The two older women are just dreary. The smaller one is extremely keen to win.

Claudia and her dad have a dysfunctional relationship, one which I doubt will have improved by the end of this. They should change their surname to Uber, they have got so many cabs.
