I was wondering how they seemed to know things about the other pairs' journey. Zainab made a couple of comments about Monique struggling with the camping and one of the older ladies struggling to ask people for lifts. How does she know that when they're all on their separate journeys!?
Maybe they all meet up at the checkpoint and chat then 🤷🏻‍♀️
Zainab was giving me bad vibes when she was talking about the others. I get the impression she would revel in someone elses misfortune.
Not surprised the brothers went, they seemed so causal about the race aspect! There are no pairs that I’m particularly wanting to win. The older ladies annoy me, the (white) dad and daughter I find uncomfortable to watch as she seems so bitter towards him, and I don’t really like zainab.
So that leaves ladie and Monique who I do like and I like their relationship together.

The Dad seems proper chill but not too convinced on Monique yet - very much coasting. Her Dad does everything.

Other Dad and Daughter need to go next as the cheeky chappy pub owner is just too annoying.

The two older ladies seem like they'd be quite miserable in real life.

Zainab seems to be the driving force of that team and the husband would be useless without her.

Watching Claudia and Kevin is fascinating. It makes me question why they are doing this…I get from the dads point of view that he wants to share something amazing and heal the rift. Claudia seems to hate him though. I don’t have the best relationship with my dad and I’d never do something like this with him for that very reason. I’d want to throttle him. Plus he’s totally lazy so he wouldn't be up for it anyway! 😂

The two older women (Tricia and Cathy) really annoy me for some reason!

Not too bothered about the eliminated brothers….too dull and whingey.

Monique really stepped up this week. Claudia just whinged. Claudia and her dad are flogging a dead horse, she hates him, he feels guilty. If you do go and do something like this epic trip you would hope you have a holiday from yourself and just immerse yourself into the never to be repeated experience. But it’s true, wherever you go, you go. You just take your tit with you if you are not careful.

I like Ladi and Monique best. They seem willing to do menial jobs without complaining. I get tired of the older woman of the pair crying. I can't remember her name.
I wonder if they have to catch the same train out of Churchill as they said there are no roads and the sea is frozen.
It would be interesting if they only give them 10minutes to get back on a train, otherwise makes no sense why they all ran off it to gain a 2 min lead.

Claudia is a brat perhaps spoiled by her grandparents. Her father was trying to make a living pub work and kids aren’t a good mix. Her resentment is uncomfortable
It's interesting to see their dynamic because I was bought up living in a pub with parents who both worked in it and we spent a lot of time at my grandparents. They picked us up from school etc, and my parents got divorced.
But my experience was that it was great, my brother and I played in the beer garden, helped bottling up, listened to the live bands. Our parents included us and gave us pocket money for helping out.
I think it says more about her dad's parenting then anything else. Although she's an adult now so you think she could reflect on how hard he must have worked

I think Zanib slipped up when she said she gets a loaf of bread and tuna, when she said she and Mobeen were vegetarians rather than saying they’re Halal, I could feel the awkwardness! They were very lucky to get a free ride to the station though.

I’ve looked to see where they’re going next week and it doesn’t seem as far to go compared to this weeks. Although I might be completely wrong 😂

There was such a big omission last night. Laddie and Monique had to sit in a van because of bears in the National Park while they had been looking for a lift to the train station 300km away. All of a sudden they were at the station with absolutely no explanation how they got there.
This series does seem to suffer with them all needing to aim for one specific train or boat or bus so they all arrive at the same time anyway.

Claudia and Kevin were even stranger this episode. It seems to be more than her just growing up in a pub and him not being around. There's like some unresolved trauma there which leads to her breaking down - you can feel the anger towards him from her. Has she even mentioned her Mum throughout this? I was surprised when it was the Dad's set of parents she went to live with.
