I was wondering how they seemed to know things about the other pairs' journey. Zainab made a couple of comments about Monique struggling with the camping and one of the older ladies struggling to ask people for lifts. How does she know that when they're all on their separate journeys!?
Maybe they all meet up at the checkpoint and chat then 🤷🏻‍♀️

It did show two couples chatting about their journey at the check point at the start of this episode

In earlier series they definitely did. But that's another thing that's off about this series

It indeed was sadly more of the same this week in terms of travel. Also none of them have much of a spark unlike the last lot. Glad the brothers went though, they were particularly dull. I suppose Canada looks nice but it really does all look the same. Might be a bit different next week at least though.

I would love to visit Canada, I think it looks incredible and the people seem nice.

I think on this series the downside is that they don’t experience cultural differences as they travel from country to country. Even the food will be familiar to them, it’s the same currency throughout, the social norms are the same, the transport is familiar.

The scenery will definitely be different next week as they're going through the Badlands and the prairie. I lived on the prairie in Alberta, and it's incredibly boring to look at, it's just flat grassland

Edit for predictive text mistake

In the last series it seemed like they stayed at the check point for a night or two so they hang out and chat.

They definitely kick back at the hotel for a few days as there was a lot of photos of them chilling on instagram last year.

My main thought as to why the daughter got injured was they got pissed in that bar it showed them drinking the cocktails in lol. Bit of a drunken tumble at the end of the night

I’ve been to Toronto and thought it was so boring! I’d go back to Canada though to see Lake Louise.

There’s no stand out pair for me this series. I loved S1 with the dad and his son from Bradford .

Lake Louise was a lot smaller than I expected it to be, and there's always loads of Japanese tourists there
