Oh yes they opened applications in April for a non-celeb one. Fingers crossed then we may get two series again next year.

As long as it sticks to normal people who don't want to become celebs/ influencers. And part of the reason the celeb one worked was having a celeb and non-celeb teams not celebrity pairings, that would have become tedious.
And plus they weren't the usual rota of celebs we constantly see. I know they had all done celeb programmes before but they weren't the usual suspects eg Joey Essex, Scarlet Moffat, Gemma Collins, and these days Matt bloody Hancock.

They are doing a non celebrity version now, which in looking forward too. Also looking forward to another celebrity version.

I dont really mind who the celebrity is as long as they are paired with family/ non famous friend. I think that combination works really well.

The BBC seem a bit better in recruiting for celeb stuff. I hope I'm not speaking to soon when I say they tend not to scrape the barrel so much as ITV and C4/5. I think they'll have a pretty good choice for the next series as it's such a brilliant opportunity.

Definitely will be a ‘normal one’. I got halfway through the application then changed my mind as it was filming Sep-Nov time and if I miraculously was successful I would have missed my nieces christening.
I’m happy for them to do another ‘celebrity’ one as long as it’s the same calibre of celebrities, nobody too famous. It’s been nice having two versions of the series to watch this year.

Oh can you tell us more about the application process please?
I can’t remember all the specifics, it was around April time I think when they opened the applications.
But basically it asked a little about yourself, what your travel experience was and how many countries you have visited, why you wanted to apply with the person you were applying with, and if you have had any life experiences that shaped who you are today. (Did seem like they were fishing for a few slight sob stories there).
You both fill out individual applications and then I think you had to record a 1 minute or so video of you interacting with your race partner. I’m guessing after that it would be invites for interviews maybe? That’s pretty much what I remember from it.

Interesting thank you. Bet u will be glued to it when it comes on

This looks funny 😄

For the last few years it feels like some of the content that gets made for CiN and Comic Relief has been utterly dogshite, but this year, for CiN, it looks like it's gonna be a great year. This and Mr Blobby and Tinky Winky doing MasterChef, it's just gonna be hilarious.
