Wow this is gonna be a good one. Language and culture barriers for starters, can't wait to watch!
 
The problem with the Canada one, which was due to covid restrictions I know, was so often there was only one train, boat or bus going to a particular destination at one particular time. So they all ended up on it and it was just a matter of who could walk or run faster.
The celebrity version was far better as there were so many different travel options available. This Asia one hopefully looks the same but even better 🤞

Also, with Canada, there were zero cultural differences, either between the contestants and the host country, or during the 'travels'. The scenery's going to be so much better for this one.
 
I hated the Canada one but most of all the couple of women who won, really didn’t like them they had no interest in the experience just the win. First series was still the best as it was new and fresh. You’ll now get people apply for their ten mins of fame and insta following

Sadly that is like almost every reality programme I guess. When the advert is put out for contestants for unknown programmes it takes a real leap of faith for people to apply - not knowing what it involves or if the programme will be a success. So I imagine you get genuinely curious people who are just in it for the adventure.
Like the Traitors - first series I think they got under 20k applicants, for the upcoming one it was about 500k. It always becomes a law of diminishing returns.
With this new series I hope there aren't too many emotional background stories tbh.
 
The canada one had a stunning location, but north America just isn't suited to this kind of show. You need somewhere with multiple transport options, currencies, schedules, language barriers etc across multiple countries.

I actually preferred the second series in South America to the first series.
 
I love to think about new areas for the programme.
I know they started in Morocco for the Celeb version but a North African version might be good. Morocco to Eygpt?
I thought about Indonesia but the problem with island nations is they tend to focus on one boat at one particular time - so they all get it.
Australia would be the same as Canada - one country with one language and currency.
Shame Russia and China are impossible as that would be fascinating.
India?

Maybe the opposite way and end in Morocco so they don't start in similar ways?
What could be good is when they have checkpoints they could give them two different checkpoints and they can decide which would be best but I guess the problem is they won't know where they are going after. Possibly could work for islands that are similar distances from mainlands or something so it wouldn't matter on actual traveling distance between the next checkpoint

They’d have to do it via Europe as they couldn’t pass through Libya or probably Tunisia either
