The problem with the Canada one, which was due to covid restrictions I know, was so often there was only one train, boat or bus going to a particular destination at one particular time. So they all ended up on it and it was just a matter of who could walk or run faster.
The celebrity version was far better as there were so many different travel options available. This Asia one hopefully looks the same but even better 🤞

This was what ruined it for me, and I don’t think they can excuse it with just covid restrictions.

I know they obviously wanted them in a mostly English speaking country that was developed in case there was another lockdown etc but I really think they could have chosen better than Canada (or at least the route they chose) where there was only the one option so many times so they were all together - or pointlessly racing to be the first on the bus/train only for them all to be on the same one.

I don't know where else though. The USA would have been the same, so would Australia and New Zealand. After that you're crossing borders and not in native English speaking countries.

I think even on the other side of Canada there would likely have been more choices to get to the same destination which did start happening at the very end of this series - they could go the north route or the south route. I think the US would have offered similar options if chosen well.

It might still be have been relatively limited compared to a "normal" series but at least it not "This is the only way and it doesn't matter that you got to the check point 6 hours earlier than everyone else because the next way out is in 12 hours time".

I think my favourite team so far is Isabel and Eugenie. Its impressive how quickly Isabel learned some Japanese phrases. Shame about them using so much of their budget early on. Hopefully they can make up some of the money they spent.
