I’m indifferent but I agree I would prefer a non celeb version, then again they are not exactly high profile celebs (short of the guy from mcfly). I guess if they had chosen bigger profile celebs then I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as say they ran out of money they would get people falling over themselves to help them on the trip solely because they are celebs.

Will be interested to see how Billy Monger fares travel wise with his disability. He seems like a lovely lad too.

I had to give up on the last series so hoping this one is better!
 
I'm glad they have been paired with a family member!

I knew all the names so bonus for me. Really like Billy Monger so invested in him already!

I wonder where they are traveling across, does anyone know?

I agree about Claudia and Kevin, they were pretty dislikeable. I kind of liked Zainab and Mobeen as a package but, man, she could be nasty at times. I laugh at how everyone think of Cathie and Tricia as being really old but they were only late 40s.

We are half way through the second series now and like the brother and sister and mother and son groups so far.

I think Claudia and Kevin were edited to be pretty dislikeable!! Im not really sure why!! When I first watched it, I found Claudia intensely irritiating, as was Kevin. Especially the fractured daughter /dad dynamic. I hope the experience brought them closer.

But after seeing the after show meet up in london, there were a lot of clips of Claudia and Kevin we werent shown! The work they did at the adventure park, where Kev dressed up, and I dont think we were shown how much mechanic work, Kev did on the car to get them from one stage to the next.

I spose it is tricky to get the right balance from contestants. They want to highlight the issues/backstories to give us a feel for who the contestants are, when in reality what we want to see from them is them a bit different! I like seeing the countryside they are travelling through, and how they solve the problems they face, and the interactions with the families and other people they meet.

Im looking forwards to seeing the celeb version, although I usually prefer the non celeb version! As with Hunted, the celebs behave in such a different kind of way. But its a good idea to pair a celeb with another family member! I wonder how long they spent travelilng?
