As long as it has a firm mattress and it's free of loose bedding, toys, bumpers etc it doesn't matter. What matters is that someone (ideally mum as they are more in tune) is in the same room. In reality lots of babies will only sleep on someone (again often mum) in those early days.

Another premiere? What planet is she on. She goes on and on and on about the 4th trimester, bonding, cocooning, 'holding' and shes out all the time when she has a newborn!? It makes no sense and the pressure on other new mums is wild.

Honesty, I don’t think all is well with her and Chin, because she is needing more are more external validation. I don’t think he’s giving her the love or attention she craves, so she has to get it from bullshit like a premier that every tit mum blogger will be invited to as seat fillers.

The most impractical lay out of a room. If it was me I’d have no cot in the room yet and the bed as a single with a crib butted up to the bed. That’s not a liveable space

He’s probably out early and home late due to the job and begrudgingly around every other weekend when he has to be for his kids visiting.

If he was there, and a hands on dad, up in the night doing nappies, she would have posted about how wonderful he was.

It’s telling that even when she posts stories of herself laying with the baby that she’s completely made up. I think she’s trying so hard to prove she’s not “let herself go”(god, I’m sorry, I hate that term as there’s no such bleeping thing), to keep him.

Crazy how Asperger’s has not been a diagnosis in the U.K. for a decade but her 6 year old is diagnosed as Asperger’s?

edit: just realised that the story is not hers, but sent to her by someone else, which explains why I was confused by the 6 year old boy reference! It looks like it wasn’t obvious to a lot of people in the comments as well, what a weird way to present someone else’s story.

I put on make up when my baby was a week old for my aunt’s 70th. After that I didn’t put on make up til the baby’s christening several months down the line.

I certainly never put on make up (let alone winged eye liner ) to lie around at home.

And I am still married 23 years on. Imagine!

What's the point of sharing this story and where did she even find it because as you say, it hasn't been called Asperger's for many, many years. Has she been trawling the mumsy site for anecdotes?
