How are they dealing with health insurance? Is that marketplace thing still a valid option for small businesses?
Seriously, I have no idea how all that works without an employer.

It's there, but it's not as good as it could be because the insurance companies moaned to the politicians.

He could carry what he had from his employer for a period I believe, but I don't think they pay their piece of it.

I can think of 30,000+ reasons a month they aren't going to mess with their video formula anytime soon. They could prove me wrong of course but I'm sure I will read about it here if they start doing home vlogs and popping out kids.

That's a bigger audience. As popular as Disney videos are, family/lifestyle are a bigger audience.

Edit: The stans who are paying that money now will most likely follow them through their "journey" if they go that route. The Alan cooking stuff is a step in that direction really.

As a Canadian I don’t really understand any of this insurance stuff. But it seems to me Alan rushed to have the vasectomy done before leaving his job, which I can only assume is because Molly didn’t want to pay for her birth control anymore without insurance coverage. I can only assume the Trackers have great insurance or don’t care about the cost because they didn’t say anything about Oliver’s NICU bills. Doesn’t mean they don’t exist, but they are obviously getting by without employer insurance.

I think it is a distinct possibility! Like when a couple becomes full time vloggers is that when the constant drama and controversies begin? Does spending so much time on a life of leisure atrophy your brain to the point that you start making a constant public spectacle of yourself because you have no sense left and you just want to feel something again?

Now they no longer have Alan’s one foot in reality is it all “urban parties” and “Princess Night rumbles” in six months? And we jump from two threads to seventy?
Ordinary Adventures are full time vloggers and they don’t seem to have any controversies. It’s also worth noting that they’re not a vlogging couple; they’re a throuple! And I guess Max will soon be living with them as the awkward roommate 😂

Several of my friends had trouble getting birth control as they have gotten further into their 30’s. So their husbands got vasectomies instead. Not sure if that is Molly and Alan’s specific situation or not (and a lot of guys are just doing it in solidarity post Roe v. Wade being overturned here in the States).

Peter’s time at Slash Film just wrapped up last month. The clock is now ticking for them too.

Why would they have trouble getting birth control? Just because of dumb state laws getting enacted or something?
Didn't Peter sell his stake in slash film for a bunch of money? Don't think they'll be worrying about insurance like regular folks.

Red State and then the risk of health complications I think. Someone who takes birth control can weigh in though. This is just what my friends have told me.

He did sell it for a lot of money, and I am sure they don’t have any issues paying for insurance (Kitra even said as much that she just had gotten really good insurance before she broke her ankle).

I am talking about the clock ticking for them on going full crazy now he doesn’t work with Slashfilm.

Great. Why is it getting dumber all the time in the US?

Gotcha. I read it with a different eye. Yeah, it'll be awesome. Fortunately, I never really watched them. He always seemed pretentious to me.

Things could have changed since I was using the market healthcare (roughly 2-3 years ago), but it was free then on that insurance. Even now in a red state and having better insurance through my job (not Florida, so could be different there) it's still free for me. The only issue I had was them not wanting to cover a name brand and I just switched to one they covered free of charge instead when it happened. I would wonder if it's just more health risks that can come with taking it long term I've been debating the same lately.

It is a real race to the bottom right now.

I like them most of the time, but yeah, Peter can be pretentious. And they have also had Molly’s issue of coming off as brusque when people approach them in the parks despite assuring everyone they should do just that.

Probably no help that I've seen at least one of the cruise vloggers (La Lido Loco) see them on a cruise, film his interaction with them and say out loud that he was fanboying over them.

Did anyone else make it through the birthday twitch stream? I tried to watch but didn't make it too far as it just felt really awkward and certain people in that chat act like he hung the moon and stars and it really grates my nerves. Then again, I also think some of the people in that discord just have a thing for him and it shows. Especially one of their twitch/discord mods.

The one thing I did hear was him talking about making thumbnails, so wonder if that and a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff is what Max contributes at the moment mainly. I just really wonder how much more involved he'll start to be with the move in front of the camera and on videos.

I guess Max has to move to Florida to try to solve their mic issues? You know, instead of buying them at a quality professional place and asking or paying a professional to sort things out.

I don’t think I could handle what a massive wankfest those probably are. Especially if it involves people getting thirsty over Max.

I think it has been theorized he put up a lot of the initial capital and that was his major contribution? Although I do think he knows more about some of the tech stuff than Alan or Molly (not that he is that good at it).

What capital? They already had phones, just had to get a business name registered. Did he pay for the initial merchandise?
The ability to survive is hinged upon income. Only idiots drop intentionally their jobs without a guaranteed way to pay the bills.
Alan had a good job, but without a degree he probably wasn't making that much - they needed both his and Molly's salaries to get by.

In the introductory live stream I recall Alan saying he was absolutely sick trying to work the numbers over and over to make sure they could survive. My bet is Max invested knowing that Molly would need to draw a salary for his friends to keep their house if she went on this path.

I don't recall how long they said they thought it would take to start turning a decent income with the channel, but I'm guessing a year. That could have been a rather hefty sum of money Max put down.

Max certainly wouldn't have handed them whatever that year number was at once. Why would he have all that money?
Did Alan not go to college at all? And frankly, doing a livestream saying we don't know if we could survive comes off as a beg for people to join their patreon/memberships etc.

Lol, I said it has been theorized. I didn’t say it was my theory. And I definitely didn’t say he was the sole breadwinner for Molly and Alan.

And every business has startup costs. We can make as much fun of Mammoth Club as we want, but they aren’t a rink-a-dink operation with just a phone and a prayer. They had a logo, merchandising, etc. all ready to go. Plus, Max draws a pretty good salary and was living in an apartment with no family. I am assuming he had the most money to invest.

I think I read or heard at one point that Alan attended Alabama but I'm not 100% sure on that.
