They don't need to learn about DVC when DVC rental just gift them rooms. Just another way for Molly the affiliate link queen to try and get more commission
I didn't even know it was an ad for a DVC rental place. I don't know, my friends never ask me to pay them to give me advice.
Jumpman23, this stay was not gifted. Molly mentions several times during the video that they splurged and paid, however using the sponsor's service were able to get it for less than rack rate on Disney's site. The overall video was sponsored by the DVC Rental Store as stated, but that was apart from the purchase which was made through them.

Molly studied communications and knows the FTC's rules on promotional guidance which would require her to state up front that product or services were exchanged for promotional consideration. (Note: Tim Tracker breaks this rule all the time and hides this verbiage at the end, if Jenn remembers to put it in at all)

MC is one of the better channels for telling the viewers up front what is going on. We don't need to be crafting and perpetuating lies that could cause problems.

Molly might have a communications degree. Doesn't mean she's up to date and has studied all regulations regarding this stuff or is some kind of FCC or FTC expert. It would depend on what her focus was there, but most likely something like advertising and PR, not sure they necessarily cover regulations.
Also, saying she's a communications expert isn't really a flex given the camera and mic problems they've had (which they should never have had).

I never called her an expert on anything.
Yes, rules change, but the basis of the FTC have remained the same for many years now. Clemson does teach the rules regarding advertisement, promotional give aways etc in their Communications degree program. They're very important things to know when stepping into the corporate world.

not saying this is what occurred, but there was also a loophole that a lot in the beauty/fashion community used wherein they were given a gift card by the company and said the video was sponsored, but still were able to claim they paid for it with their own money since it was technically their gift card. nordstrom was notorious for this. maybe molly did pay, but there are certainly ways to get around those pesky FTC guidelines haha. either way anything these content creators say should be taken with a heaping spoon of salt.

True, that has happened elsewhere, but to make the allegation that MC was gifted the bungalow stay without proof is creating an unsubstantiated story, a rumor intended to harm the channel. I'd rather not see that happen here.

So, out of curiosity I looked at the Clemson website and it said what's below in the overview about a BA in Communication. Even looked at program requirements and no mention of FTC or FCC regulations.

So she “paid” and the company who then paid her for the video to be the sponsor. Sounds like money laundering!

It wouldn't be listed in their degree program overview. That would be akin to an engineering program listing out magnetic interference on circuitry.

Prof. Denham (or Denim?) is well known in the department for researching, writing and teaching courses diving into the FTC rules in journalism. My son was dating a student in his class (not Molly) at the time and while the complaints were typical about course load, from what she told me he was her favorite teacher as he dove into the FTC rules regarding privacy and misrepresentation. It was a common ground she and I could talk for hours on as I had worked with the Fed. Gov't in the department of safety and security.

Sounds like a cool professor, but none of that means Molly even took that class.

At last! The secret behind the channel has come out! It was Breaking Mammoth Club all along!

And on that note, Big Brother knew exactly what I was looking at and targeted the ads.

MAM's cruise video they are now on their 3rd type of clip on microphone. Sound is still awful. almost like the microphone is not the issue

But, it was the BEST Day 1 and 2! Equipment doesn't work automatically. I guess they're spending the money on costumes for thumbnails like that Jurassic Park thing.

Edit: Alan going full time will morph them into being about them, not their subject matter.

So you're predicting that they're going to become the Millennial version of the Slackers?
Boy, I hope not.

I think it is a distinct possibility! Like when a couple becomes full time vloggers is that when the constant drama and controversies begin? Does spending so much time on a life of leisure atrophy your brain to the point that you start making a constant public spectacle of yourself because you have no sense left and you just want to feel something again?

Now they no longer have Alan’s one foot in reality is it all “urban parties” and “Princess Night rumbles” in six months? And we jump from two threads to seventy?
